Works great, reliable and easy
Have had these for a week now and it’s been doing great. Battery life is still at 100% and it has consistently reported data. Set up was extremely easy if you use home assistant, it auto discovered when I inserted the batteries. At 1/4 the price of other brands, this is an incredible value.

Very accurate and works great. Very simple. love it.
i set this one up at home. It was very easy. It took a while for the unit to cool down from the delivery but i tracked it with an NIST traceable thermometer and it was within .3°F. i put it in and old freezer with and inkbird temperatur contoller setup fo 53°F and it connects without having to open the freezer. Freezer is tracking 52 to 53°F on the app graph. I am very satisfied with this. You will need a AAA battery.

Cheap product by a cheap company
Item arrived and does not work with brand new batteries, that were also tested in a meter and they are full. Also, if you need to return it they make you print label and find a box even though they dont ship in one (just a bag). Cheap product, cheap company. Look elsewhere

So far so good with Home Assistant
I purchased six of these sensors for each fridge, crisper, freezer I own. My Home Assistant (HA) server is a little N150 minicomputer with a bluetooth antenna plugged in over USB. The sensor upstairs dropped out but a humidity sensor appeared out of the blue so it could have just been HA getting confused with an update, a reboot fixed it and I removed the new humidy sensors that were reported as unsupported. If I continue to have Bluetooth dropouts I'll just use Bluerooth repeaters which do WIFI to Bluetooth repeating (extending) for around $15. This product after batteries are installed is discoverable by HA and you add it like any other HA device. There are temperature, battery, signal strength, and humidy (maybe) probes accessible to HA. I never installed the app, I just use HA to access the data directly so that I can write rules for low battery or temperature too high in the fridge or freezer. I'm only a little over a week in and the sensor seems reasonably accurate. With HA I can view temperature over time in a graph and see the cooling-idle curve of the fridge or freezer. I could probably even estimate the power consumption correlating temperature to active cooling times. The product is magnetic if you manage to find metal to stick it to, I could not inside most of the cooling appliances. I'll need to double check the specs, but if using in the garage and attic is permitted then I might purchase two more. I'll use them and HA to notify me if the attic or garage gets too hot. For use in a cold environment you want to use lithium batteries (not rechargeable). I repeat, I did not need it install software on my phone and self host these sensors using Home Assistant with very little effort. Since you might be placing these in a big metal box like a fridge, you might need a Bluetooth repeater to place a tiny $15 device near this temperature sensor if it's easily reached by WIFI. The repeater is a tiny ESP32 device and there is one encased to avoid exposed pins that is powered over USB C that many prefer that is easy to add to Home Assistant sold on Amazon.

A great themometer at a great price.
I really like this freezer thermometer. In the past I've used wired thermometers and the wire would screw up the gasket. I've also used a thermometer inside the freezer, but I had to open the door whenever I wanted to check the temp. Wireless is the way to go. The unit itself is easy to set up. Just put in the batteries (it even comes with a small screwdriver for the battery compartment) and start the app. The app is easy to set up, sync, and to read. There's even a feature to calibrate the temp reading, but I didn't need it because it was accurate out of the box. All in all, this is a great unit at a great price.

When you don't have internet on location.
We run a small non profit food bank. Cannot afford to add internet to our little building. These units were just the thing to keep track of our 9 refrigerators and freezers. Have been using them for over two years now and they work great.

Not for chest freezers
The Bluetooth range is not as long as I had hoped. About 50 feet of the line of sight and 20 feet or less if an inside wall is in the way. It does not like to automatically reconnect and send data to the phone after it has been out of range. It seems that you must sometimes stop and restart the app to get it to reconnect and even if reconnects with the app running you must open and close the specific device to get it to upload data to the phone. I would say well if communicating with a fixed device that stays always within range and if you are checking your data frequently by opening the device file. Otherwise sort of a PITA. The individual devices do have several days of internal storage, but sometimes it is necessary to open and close the device even while staying in range in order to get all of the data if you have not uploaded it in a few days.

Better Than Expected
Every RVer should have this Thermometer. I am so paranoid that the food in our RV fridge will get warm and spoil on our trips. This gives me the piece of mind knowing I can check the temp at any time. There is even a setting to notify you if it goes below a set temp.

Good sensor

Enables internal freezer or fridge temperature measurements through closed door and keeps record of temperature over time. Served my purpose well to ensure stored food, especially meats was stored safely and correctly. I could not connect using iOS devices, it only worked with android.
