Heavy, tight - but stylish and comfortable
I'm a big fan of this brand, as I have a pair of Kamik's rain boots in a different style.PROS:- These are so stylish, fashionable and beautiful! So basically, you'll look great in rainy weather. (It's actually difficult to find stylish rain boots.)- Comfortable (I've tried popular Chinese brands, but they just don't feel comfortable. But these do.)CONS:- Man, they're heavy! We're talking really heavy! (I usually don't like heavy footwear... But I guess I can think of this as a "workout" to move my legs with all this weight, lol...)- Like others are saying, these are very tight in terms of the calf and also the height in the foot area. So it's kinda hard to even take them off. And also, they may end up feeling uncomfortably tight if swollen feet.Having said that, despite the drawbacks, I'm keeping them because (a) I have trust in this brand as I've had great experience with it, and (b) they look so stylish and nice.

Heavy Boots but they are really nice looking! Snugged fit!
This is my first time ever shopping for shoes online! These are also my second pair of rain boots ever! I was really upset after my previous $200 pair of Loeffler Randall rain boots ripped after 3 years of seasonal wear - and the zipper broke too. After that, I promised myself to never spend no more than $80 on rain boots ever again in my life!!! My thinking was "It's just rubber, it's not like they're fine leather or something!" Anyways, since I got a gift card, I decided to look into Amazon for rain boots. I was undecided between Tretorn boots which were like $80 or these Kamik boots which were like $35 or so....of course, I read the reviews and after my past bad experience, I decided to opt for these cheap Kamik Olivia boots. I was so excited...but as soon as I opened the box, the harsh smell of rubber and chemicals hit my nose. And then they were HEAVY. They are certain sturdy, and I'm sure they will not rip easily, but I was upset at how heavy they were. I'm a firm believer that you must treat your feet very well, because they carry you everywhere for the rest of your life. Comfort is key, not matter how expensive a shoe may be. Except, rubber boots well, I learn my lesson!!!They don't have a zipper, therefore, you must struggle a bit to insert and remove your foot from the boot. I am size 7 and I ordered a 7 and they fit just right! Very snug. But that is not good if you plan on wearing thick socks in the colder months!! But I do think they kept my warmer than usual. I live in NYC, don't own a car and I'm always walking around and taking public transportation. In the end, I decided to keep them because: where else can I get a cheap pair of nice-looking boots??? I was looking into those comfy Muck rain boots, but they're ugly, so I wanted something fashionable! Plus the fact that they are made out of recycable materials and that they were made in Canada (which I hope means a chance of giving a manufacturing job to someone with a family in a first-word economy) convinced me to keep them. I planning on leaving a comfy pair of shoes at my office and just using these boots for commuting on rainy days! I don't think these are good for all-day walking. UPDATE APRIL 2014...A MONTH LATER and I take back my bad review. Eventhough they are heavy when you first open the box, they are really comfy for walking. They look just like Hunter boots too, I've compared them on the Train..lol Except since they are snug around the ankle, these Kamik boots do not bend like Hunter boots do, which is GREAT! I definitely recommend them for the price and look and comfiness!

Great boot company. Just a easy mixup.
I’m pretty sure that when these were boxed, the employee thought a 6 on the bottom of the boot was a 9. So, they were really small. Anyone could make the same mistake. Thanks for the refund.

These run one size small at least
Listen these are really nice rain boots but you do need to read all the reviews and listen to them because they fit super snug. You have to go up an entire size but they are well-made from Canada. Get them before the tariffs lol. I ended up returning mine and finding something at tractor supply But I'm sure if I had ordered up one sizethey would've been great.

Great boot, I'm a 8.5 and the 9 fits perfectly
Great boot. Good quality build and comfort. Will be perfect for gardening and mucking about on friends farm with the animals. As to everyday use, get a real work boot.

Amazing customer service and a great boot
I purchased these boots a year ago in Charcoal. Its a plain boot but very comfortable. I can wear them all day, no problem. For me its a close fitting boot. I have a 14.75 inch calf and its not tight but I can't wear them with regular jeans tucked in. Skinny jeans or leggings only. Its much closer fitting than any other type of boot I have and it took a bit getting used to.I get a lot of compliments on them even though they are so plain. Because they are a slim fit I think they are very flattering to the leg and that is why people comment on them. The buckle had always been a problem for me. It kept loosening up and not coming undone but being loose enough to flop around. Then, just a week ago, it completely popped off. I thought I could fix it but with the hubub of the holidays I didn't get around to trying to fix it until just before Christmas. I could not repair it and was pretty dismayed. My husband suggested I see if there was a warranty and I went to the Kamik site to see and was shocked to see there WAS a warranty and dismayed to hear that it was 1-year and I had missed the cutoff by days.Undeterred I sent them an email explaining how it had actually broken the week before and I thought I could fix it so I had put off contacting them and was there any chance I could be covered under the warranty and if not, did they have any suggestions for me on how to reattach it? This was sent on a Monday evening. 20 minutes later a woman responded and asked me for the style/color/size and my address. By the next day my new boots were on their way. I was extremely impressed with the very fast response (2 days before Christmas!) and their willingness to help even though I was technically outside the warranty period. Wonderful wonderful service. I will be buying more of their boots for myself and my family.

Great until they cracked
I bought these a few years ago and they were great until one day they cracked about 5 inches up from the bottom in the back of the leg. I didn't wear them excessively and never expected that they would rip in such an odd place. They aren't too expensive but I expected more than 3 years of use out of them.
