Will this work with the topens a8131 gate opener? and can it be wired directly to the control board?

You can attach the red and black wires of the lock to the LOCK port of the A8131 gate opener controller directly, no matter the polarity. The delay timer relay is not required to be used. Thanks !

How can I unlock just the lock without the gate opener opening? Without using the key.

Dear Amazon Customer, thank you for your inquiry. If the lock is intended to be used with a gate opener, then it must be unlocked by the gate opener when operating the gate to open. If the lock is not intended to be used with a gate opener, then you need to purchase a 24VDC/5A power supply and a momentary normally open switch to unlock the lock via the delay timer relay which included in the lock kit. Yes, the lock can be used with LiftMaster LA100 swing gate opener. But it can not be attached to the control board of gate opener directly. First of all, you should purchase another 24VDC5A power supply to power up the lock system. And then you can connect the -(negative terminal for connecting the push switch, GND) and RED (terminal for connecting the RED arm wire) terminals of the control board to the timer relay PCB which included in the lock kit to activate the lock. The lock can be wired between the timer relay PCB and the power supply per user manual. If you still can not figure out how to wiring it to the gate opener, you can send a email to us (mageway@outlook.com) and we can draw a wiring diagram for you. why does the picture of the motherboard say 250volt and 125volt ac on the internal label will it work on 125v ac

That's a delay off timer relay which can be used to control 125/250VAC or 30VDC/28VDC appliance. The lock can be controller by the relay if there is not a LOCK terminal in a 24VDC gate opener controller.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: The extra very small circuit board add on provided to make it work with a 24v gate did not work correctly even though I followed the wiring instructions. i have a topens automatic gate A5 so a very standard brand. In order to get it to work I had to buy a step down converter from 24v to 12v and but it in line between the control box and the gate lock.

Broken just outside of return window.

Installed five weeks ago. Locked up tight yesterday, had to disassemble to get out.. Of course happened when I NEEDED to have the gate open. One week outside of the return window. Looks good, performs bad. Money WASTED!

It secures my gate !

Liked: it holds its own, secure and works as intended. Good price - you get what you pay for. It's strong, rugged, and performs well. Don't like: the electrical cable is long enough to connect to control box for 13' foot gates, but not long enough for 14' ft or longer gates. You will need to buy additional cable, or longer cable to do so with Longer gates 😮‍💨.
