Frost Protection Plant Cover, 8 ft Round
C**C
If in doubt, go bigger
Having bought some 6 ft rounds previously and finding them too small for anything but my 1 1/2 ft plants, I came back for these. Even the too small ones provide some benefit for layering under the larger covers. Our freeze season is short and sporadic here In S. Arizona and these work well to keep my plants green longer and to protect immature plants from dying. These are made of a heavy paper-type product, but are very durable. I've been re-using covers made of this type material, in white, for over 15 years and they're still useable, though bougainvillea thorns have necessitated some occasional repairs. They are far superior to the old bed sheets I used to use way back when. I replaced the cord on one of my previous round Plankets. The cord seemed to disintegrate after only one season, though the others bought at the same time have held up fine. It was very easy to replace the cord, so I consider this a fluke and only a minor annoyance. The 8 ft size allows me to cover a 3 ft potted grapefruit tree on my patio so that it looks like the display picture. These round Plankets have made covering my plants so much easier that I gladly give them 5 stars. If I find a 10 ft round, I'll be buying that next.

Maybe it helps sturdier plants, shrubs and small trees in the long run....
Morning glories are dead after a brief unusual freeze snap in November in North TX, even covered with this product and watered before the weather arrived. I bought it knowing the front was approaching. I used garden staples to keep the tarping tacked to the ground. I was hoping against hope but , alas.....Heads up for anyone looking to protect warm-season flowers. I am a neophyte when it comes to growing flowers, I admit that to be fair.

worked great
We had a rough Florida winter and I had to cover plants several times due to frost and freeze warnings. These are a little pricey, but can be used over and over. They don't take a lot of storage space, and worked great! I purchased multiple sizes.

Planket review
This is an excellent product for keeping fragile plants protected during the harsh winters we have in northeast Ohio. I soon discovered, however, that is necessary to anchor the product to the ground with heavy rocks, as during a windy day, some of the covers blew off the plants. After that lesson was learned, I am very pleased the covers are staying put and keeping the plants protected. I also put a layer of leaves around the bases of the plants in case the roots become exposed. All in all, this is an outstanding product I would buy again.

Sandbox Cover
We use this for a cover for our wooden kids sandbox. The cord tightens perfectly and we don’t have to worry about the cats and other creatures getting in.

Wonderful!
We landscaped our yard 2 yrs ago. We lost the little Alberta Spruce the first winter. We replaced it and the next winter tried to cover it with sheets. It looked awful and guest would question us on what it was. This winter is to be"brutal" according to the Farmers Almanac so we are trying the Planket - it is easy to put on. We added 3 dowels to prevent it from rubbing the very top of the plant since we get strong winds when the winter storms blow in and placed rocks around the bottom to weight it down since our plant is in the ground and not in a pot.

SO far so good
This plant covers material & design is holding up well so far, and we have been getting some really windy conditions at times. The cord locking clips hold position on the cord in windy conditions.
