Q: how does it compare to the Theorie argan oil conditioner?

Unfortunately I haven't tried the Argon Oil version. But this is by far the BEST conditioner I have ever used.

Q: does it contain sulfate

Sulfate is usually only a concern in shampoo for It is used to cleanse your hair. Their accompanying shampoo is advertised as sulfate-free.

Q: is this a leave-on conditioner?

No this not a leave-on conditioner.
