Why can't you put this on over your moisturizer?

The moisturizer works as a catalyst with the serum. In other words it activates the serum, plus it gives a smooth application. I will never be without this.

Can I use the product by itself without mixing it with a moisturizer?

No it will not darken wrinkles or marks. I have wrinkles and after application, I just look like I have a light tan
