Too many swim pants have no concept of real sizing, these are the same as normal pants and shorts the XL and XXL are actually those sizes.

2XL is more like large, fits like compression yoga pants tight, not bad but not good eitherI wear jeans waist 38-42 and normally depending on the fabric wear xl to 2xl, if you are on the fence between 2xl and xl get 2XL

comfortable material. I'm a womyn's 1X and the mans XX large fit beautifully. Ankle loose but who cares I saved about $100 notbuying a womyns 1X. No opening in front, so just fine for me.
