Perfect for thick cord!
Like that openings are big enough to get the 4/5mm macrame cord through. Love the natural wood as well. I painted some for other projects too.

They're big wooden beads. They serve their purpose.
They're big ol' wooden beads that work well at whatever you might want to use big ol' wooden beads for. So far, we've used them to make little dolls with pipe cleaners and as claw caps for peacocks. I guess your imagination is the limit here.
