A basic phone to get out of the Toxic digital life that we are forced down our throats these days
Writing this review after more than 3 months of usage,I bought this because, everywhere I went for purchase or eating, people would annoy me for OTP or for me to install their "special" shop software to order online or to provide feedback on their service right before their eyes. I don't want to give out my personal information to some stranger to be just a blip on their survey/chat.If Nokia still sold those old Symbian or s40 phones there are people who will buy it for this exact purpose as me, I was on the "flip/slide" band-wagon for many year even after Android phones were common; but since those Nokia devices are no longer sold and/or only available from sketchy websites for sale, so I bought from Lava which has established itself as a Good brand in Indian market.Hardware:1. Build material is mostly plastic yet quality feels good.2. The camera is not even supposed to be talked about, it's a relic of the past and is fine for a quick capture when I don't carry my bulky 7" android around.3. Display is 2.4", 240×320 resolution (Similar to old common s40 Nokia phones)5. Batter is 1200mAh Li-ion; It comes with an inbuilt "Super battery" setting, which extends the normal battery life of almost 10 days per full charge, to even more standby time in Super battery mode. (Attached my battery log for reference)6. It supports a 32GB SD card and most applications like Camera and video recorder don't even work without a SD card in this phone; so you need to install a SD if you use this for music (which is the only purpose it can do here IMO)7. Has 3.5mm audio jack for music and FM; Music can be played out through the Loudspeaker and the sound it fine for its range. FM does work without jack but most radio stations are received as static without a jack.8. Has micro-USB socket for charging.9. The LED on the front side glows in 3 colours, red, green and blue and it is not customizable; I have seen red only during battery low warning once, green glow for SMS or missed calls, blue for charging indicator.10. Dual SIM supportedSoftware:This Lava phone's OS is not that great as when we used to have Nokia phones running Symbian or even a basic s40 OS, that can download and install jars (basically many apps and games). But, that is the point of this phone in my opinion, no hazzles, no downloads, no browsers. It is a simple phone (in better words). The OS comes loaded with these applications01 Call logs02 Contacts03 Music player04 Messages05 File manager06 Calendar07 Alarm08 Games08.1 Ninja Up! (3 trials free and then paid)08.2 Danger Dash (3 trials free and then paid)08.3 Air Strike (Free)09 Settings10 Camera11 Calculator12 Applications12.1 Video Recorder12.2 SIM tool kit12.3 Sound recorder13 Images14 Bluetooth15 Video player16 FM17 Sound recorder (same thing as from Applications)I'm using this device with a BSNL SIM, so simplicity meets simplicity.Overall, a nice device to have as a secondary carry.

Very basic phone just for calling alone.
The media could not be loaded. Good phone. Works well so far.It does comes in a blinking notification light.Missed calles - redMessages - greenCharging - blueOnly issue I felt so far is, with auto-call recording on, after ending calls, it takes so much time to save the file. During this time, a message is shown at screen which we can't stop or cancel. We had to wait till it finishes or had to restart the phone.I'm using old 32gb card for storage. Must be card issue. Anyway i turned off auto recording. There is option to record the call while in progress. So no problems. All other features are bare minimum.100sms storage, very basic contact list with no export or import. You have to manually type in or copy from sim.To me, with 5-6 hrs calling battery lasts two days. Which is ok for me.

Best simple phone made in India!
I had been searching a phone with basic features for quite some time. I also was looking into buying a flip model. In India I think this is the only phone with flip design. I am really loving the experience so far.Pros:- Add a micro-SD card upto 32GB- Bluetooth- Flip design- Sturdy design and well build- Made in India- Battery lasts for 3+ days- Call quality is excellent- Keypad is good for the price- I love the small, little things/features like there are 3 color LEDs each separately for SMS(green blink), charging (blue blink), and miss call (i think red blink) outside the case.- It has sound recorder and FM radio too! What can be improved:- Add support for 4G sim cards. I know internet won't work but atleast I can use the jio sim for calls and messages. (Jio 4G sim dosen't work).- There are 3 mini games in this phone, out of which 2 are given as trial/demo versions? lol.. i need to purchase each for 99/-. This is actually stupid :)- I experienced a bug in which I can't change the wallpaper and keep the image from SD card due to some wallpaper dimension issue.Other than these minor stuff, I just love this product. Thanks a lot Lava!! 10/10 for this price!

A Great Value For The Money
Not for senior citizens as the earpiece is of below standard strength. Even at maximum volume levels, it is still below the standards of other feature phones in this catagory. Did not return. Instead replaced the earpiece at a local shop for 100 rupees. Now it is better. Number keys could be larger. Or alleast the print over the keys could be bigger. Over all a good avlue for the money. It blinks while charging. Stops after the full charge. Build quality is very good. The box is marked with 'Made in India' in bold lettersand it feels good 🇮🇳 👍 💖😇Update:Exactly after 2 months, the charger failed!! Bought a new one from the local market
