As advertised - lightweight, unobtrusive, perfect fit.
The case was shipped promptly by the vendor and arrived on time. It is a genuine Samsung-brand protective case. The price was much lower than I would have expected. While this case isn't the heavy-duty type that some folks opt for, it does offer a reasonable amount of protection if you accidentally drop the tablet from waist- or chest-height onto a smooth linoleum surface. I've dropped mine a couple of times with no ill effects. The trouble with using a heavy-duty case (like an Otterbox) for the Note 10.1 2014 in a home or office environment is that bulky protective case edges make it difficult to rest your arm/wrist on your desk, lay the tablet flat and actually use it as a notebook. This dedicated Samsung case has a front cover that can get neatly out of the way during handheld use, or it can be folded behind the tablet to prop it up it diagonally from a desk surface. A bigger case's increased dimensions and weight are also, obviously, downsides regarding handholding or portability - but it's the fact that bulky cases work against the "Note" tablet's stated purpose that make me embrace a lighter, form-hugging case, even if the protecion provided is less. What good is a super-protected "Note 10.1" if it's too safe to use for notes?

Sleek and awesome ....
This is absolutely perfect for my Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 edition). The fit is great, it doesn't add alot of bulk, and it will definitely protect your tablet decently (I mean, it's not an otterbox or a full coverage, bully bumper style case) if closed. I actially LOVE this case. The low profile, sleek design is perfect for what I was looking for.

A minimalist & classy cover for the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) tablet
This cover fits my Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) perfectly. It is indeed made by Samsung.I'll start with the good points:1) the cover comes in retail packaging.2) it adds minimum bulk to the tablet.3) it is very sleek and classy looking, blending well with the overall look of the Note 10.1. The 2014 Edition Note has a leather-like material and grain pattern on the back, and this cover mimics that, such that you could be fooled into thinking that the case only covered the front of the tablet, and you were looking not at the back of the case, but the back of the tablet (assuming that your tablet was black). The back of the cover also appears somewhat glossy. On the other hand, the front flap is a completely different material, not leather-like, with a non-glossy finish. I have a white tablet, and was happy to see that this cover also goes very well with the white tablet, even though the cover is black. Only a thin sliver of white is visible around the edges, and of course where the camera and S-pen poke through.3) the stand positions work quite well. Regardless of what other have said, it will stand up in the tall position quite securely, IF you use it properly. I have used it both on a kitchen counter, and on a wood desk, and have not seen it give any indication that it would fall over, even when pushing the home button, or screen shortcuts. Is it the sturdiest stand which I have ever seen? No, but it is certainly adequate, and comparable in this regard to an older Samsung tablet and cover which I own.4) the magnetic feature works well in turning the tablet off on closing and on when opening.5) the indentation on the inside of the front flap, where it sits over the hone button, is sufficiently large to stop the tablet from accidentally turning on (which is actually quite important if you carry the tablet in a bag where objects could push on the home button).(rant) IMO Samsung's design, using a "raised" mechanical home button, is crazy. Most Android devices use all capacitive buttons, which will not turn on via simple pressure. Without a case to protect the home button, a Samsung tablet will constantly be turning itself on if carried where objects can press on the home button. I don't like iPads, but at least Apple uses a recessed home button. (end of rant). So a case such as this, which protects the home button, is a requirement if you plan on taking your Samsung Note tablet anywhere with you. Here are the negatives:1) this case is not just embossed with the "Samsung" and "Galaxy" logos, but also with a very prominent "Verizon" in the upper left hand corner of the front, just as another reviewer reported. What's up with this? Did the seller get a fire sale of covers from a Verizon warehouse? I can see how this could really bother some people. The seller should note in the description somewhere that this is a Verizon-branded, Samsung product. Since it's just embossed, and not also printed, it's not too obtrusive, and doesn't really bother me too much.2) the case design is not as sturdy as the Samsung case which I have with an older Samsung tablet. It will not provide protection if you drop the tablet on either of the top two corners (the bottom corners do provide some protection). And since the "hinge" material at the top of the cover is quite thin and flexible, the front flap could shift around a bit when closed. To sum up, if you are looking for a minimalist and classy case, which adds minimal bulk to your Note 10.1 2014 Edition, this would be a good choice. If, however, you want good protection, or if you object to the Verizon embossing, you may want to look elsewhere.FWIW, I withheld 1 star due to the Verizon embossing.

I was sad to see it go
It didn't fit my Samsung Galaxy 10.1 Tablet. I was sad to see it go. Looks like it would have been sturdy.

A quality product.
This is the original cover. Its back is almost identical with the material of the galaxy note 10.1 2014 ed. tablet's back. Very well designed, very light, with quality constructed materials which fits perfect.I am very satisfied with it and for the price I paid for it is a blatant bargain.

Average
The shell is nice and slique. It looks good on the tablet but its functions are a little under par. When trying to make the tablet sstand, the case slips down often. It has to be positioned just right in order for it to work and if its tapped or moved it will slip and cause the tablet to fall again. Maybe its just limited to this particular case but its still very nice and offers good protection.

Perfect Fit & Finish!
I wanted a slim fitting cover for my tablet. This fit the bill nearly perfectly! It feels good to the touch too! With the two viewing options it's a good option for someone looking for a tablet cover with minimal drawbacks. The only drawbacks I can think of are: 1) The stability of the tablet in the most upright position is decent. However it likely is not as good as a cover you rest the tablet on (the 3 position type). It's still adequate though and does a nice job. 2) There is no cutout for the camera with the cover open and folded over. I barley use the camera so it's not a big deal for me. However, it should have been an included feature from the manufacturers of the tablet and was an oversight on their part. If someone uses their camera for photos and video's a lot you may want to look at other options. Otherwise this works just fine for what I use it for. As you can tell from my 5 star rating I'm very pleased with it!

Fine if you don't want to stand it up
This works just fine if you want it to lay almost flat on a flat surface but if you want it to stand, it cannot. There is no 'flap' to anchor the back when you want to stand it up. Part of the flap is magnetic and it seems to be the part that is supposed to keep it standing but all you have to do is touch the screen and it buckles and falls.I am clueless why the reviews are so good unless all that is wanted is a cover that closes and opens, it does that just fine.

Cover case para Samsung Ed. 2014
Excelente pruducto, excelente precio. Si bien no es original Samsung pues en la parte superior izquierda dice Verizon, no se nota en absoluto. Llegó en tiempo y perfectas condiciones.
