is this hat actually black or is it more of a charcoal grey? I purchased a different style Carhartt hat in black but the hat was a grey color.

The material this hat is made of has been through a sandstone process that gives it a bit of a worn in look. The black color is more of a faded black, rather than a deep black.

This color will be a very light blue.
