Pleasant on the eyes, and thoughtfully designed
Aesthetically pleasant, unlike common wiry holders.Very stable base design.I like that the opening of brass wire pot opens more upwards than my former primary. The pot stays well in its hole and bottom rests on the surface below, not in a shallow cup of the stand.Pot bottom has 3 small rubber feet. Nice touch.Got this for my new Fnirsi digital iron and the iron seats VERY well in the holder. The pleasant surprise was a tab under the top that keeps the iron fairly well aligned in holder, rather than hot tip resting against underside of the top.Even BETTER surprise is the end of the tab is bent forward [pic with red circle]. This prevents my tip (wider than the shaft) from slipping out when bumped! Picking up iron normally tilts it right to easily slip out.The variety of long tips I have slip into the top hole grid well with plenty of separation from loaded hot iron tip. Better organization and easy to spot and load tip I want before firing up.I now have the right holder for a nifty digital iron, and a place for tip cleaning pot that doesn't take up room on the silicone matt.I recommend ditching a stand alone iron holder and leveling up to this. it's worth the couple extra bucks if you play with hot iron regularly and desire to improve the experience

Nice quality unit
Yah, a nicely made unit. The frame itself is a nice gage steel and works exactly as I wanted. Nice weight and not easily tipped over or moves with my use. The cleaner holder is very light metal but much better than say plastic and stays put in the stand. A good purchase.

It is sturd y and holds soldering iron perfectly for a hakko 601 soldering iron
I love it! It's even bigger than I thought and I'm happy that it came with the brass holder. My hakko 601 soldering iron sits in there. Perfect. Couldn't be more happy.

Solid, weighty for its size and works well
It’s a soldering iron holder, not much to expect except that it stays planted on the table while working, which it does and overall feels solid , decent heavy gauge metal as well. The cleaner pot seems to do its job.

Nice-looking Iron Holder
I love the design of this iron holder. The material used is some type of metal and it's great. The holder is moderately heavy. The tip cleaner fits well on the hole and doesn't budge as much. I have yet to test this out with my Pinecil. Overall, great addition to my workstation. It's very pleasing to look at.

Works for the FR-301 (bend it first)
I bought this for my Hakko FR-301 de-soldering gun. I've tried a few other stands, but the FR-301 is either too heavy, or the power cord coming out of the bottom gets in the way, so nothing I tried really worked.I decided to give this a try, as it's the first and only stand (that I found) that specifically says it'll fit the FR-301. Well, this stand does fit, but it's not specifically made for it. I found that I needed to pull up on the holder to bend it up some, so that the power cord coming out of the FR-301 clears the workbench. I've been using it for a few months now, and it seems to work fine.Other reviewers have mentioned that this holder slides around on their workbench too easily, but I haven't had that problem. I guess having that problem depends on how you stow and retrieve your tool?Other than having to bend it to make it fully accommodate my FR-301, the only real complaint I have is on the included cleaning wire pot. it doesn't exactly attach to the stand, it just sits in the hole. Every time I pick up the stand to move it, I forget about the cleaning pot and either the bottom of the cleaning pot falls off, or the whole pot itself falls out. The product photos depict the cleaning pot sitting in what appears to be the sponge holder, but the version with the cleaning pot does not include that part (I don't know if the cleaning pot would actually fit in the sponge tray in the first place).Overall, it's a quality product, and the only one stand/holder that will actually hold your FR-301.

Great holder
If you own a Hakko FR-301 - Portable Desoldering Tool this is a must. The holder that came with the FR-301 is very bad. This is a great upgrade and a must if you own a FR-301. The holder is very stable and will clean the outside of the tip when you put a hot iron in it.
