my old globe valves to shutoff the garden hose connections were corroded and leaking at the stem, so i bought this to replace the valves myself instead of paying a plumber $500 to do it. i got some polyb to pex adaptors, an elbow and a couple of 1/2" pex end ball valves and installed them with this tool. the tool worked great on both the pex connections and the polyb. i ran the water for a bit and all the connections appeared to be tight and leak free. i'm confident enough with the connections that i'm planning to redo the whole house someday to replace the polyb with pex. the cutter is easy to use and makes a clean cut too. my only gripe is that as i was standing up on a step stool sometimes trying to do up these cinches in awkward positions, i wish the handles were a couple inches longer for more leverage to reduce the effort it took to make the crimp; or i guess maybe i can just work out... anyway, it's a great tool and great value for money. i recommend this tool for any home owner.

La pince et le coupe tuyau fonctionne bien, jai également essayer la fonction qui coupe la bague pour la retirer et ca fonctionne également. L'outil a l'air solide. Rien a dire de négatif.

This is a well made tool and the Crimps are solid as are the included Crimp rings. It can be a little tricky to use as I had to use two hands to start the Tool action which may not be possible if you are working in a tight area. The tool also requires a some strength to begin the crimp which does require above average effort. This could cause an issue with someone cannot overcome the initial effort of closing the tool. That would be my only complaint as the cutter also makes removing old connections easy. The tool also prevents over tightening the connections since it will stop when the connection is completed.
