Reliable Memory - Crucial 32 GB Upgrade
I have been using Crucial memory sticks for about ten years now. I have had no failures, no trouble, nothing but the silence of electrons passing through NAND gates at GHz speeds. It actually kind of puts you to sleep. The applications I use and the work I do demand the largest capacity memory resource available for my workstations and laptops. At times my laptop is in high ambient temperatures which scares me a little. Under the worst conditions, Crucial has never failed. Thier Storage Executive software is clunky, but that has never prevented the successfuk use of any Crucial product. Good memory and good value.

Easy and works!
My computer is pretty old but it was not too bad with 12 GB of ram. However, things were slowing down. It took me all of 15 minutes from the time I started opened the case, until the time I closed it up, and was done. My desktop starts right up, logs in, gets onto the internet, and does its thing. If you’re looking for an easy way to upgrade your old computer, this is it.

Thanks for the Memories
I was dealing with 12 GB in an older HP computer. I don't really use intensive programs to justify buying a newer more powerful PC as I am satisfied with what I currently have. I'm sure that a new PC would load everything in a fraction of a second rather than about second but I'm not that impatient.I upgraded my RAM mostly because it only sometimes slows down or freezes up if I try to do too much on it, such as light video editing or I have too many windows open in my browser. A pair of new RAM to 32GB fixed that issue.Basically I had spent $70 verses about $800 for a reasonable new PC upgrade. A lower end PC model in the $500 range would have actually been about equal to or actually less than what I already have.Honestly I was feeling extremely cheap and felt that $70 was the smarter move than getting a more powerful PC which I really don't need. I probably could have gotten away with just one new 8GB to go with my current one but I figured may as well splurge on two new 16s.

Easy installation...but wait to hear the "click"
Bought Crucial RAM 32GB Kit (2x16GB) DDR4 2400 MHz. Installed it today. First attempt didn't go well as the PC would not boot. Unplugged everything, removed the memory and re-installed...this time ensuring I heard the "click" when seating the memory. Turned the PC back on it everything worked great...just a LOT faster. Couldn't be happier. The first attempt I was afraid of pushing too hard to hear the click so I manually pulled up the clips to hold the memory in place. That didn't work. Once I reinstalled and pushed enough to hear the click...I was off an running!

Care when installing
No problems after a few months - which doesn't mean it couldn't fail in the future. However, I've never had RAM fail, so a few months says it should last.Be careful when installing. This is not a caution for this particular RAM but for all such memory. If the memory sticks are not fully seated in their slots, nothing will work. Make sure to apply enough force to seat each stick (sometimes the click of the locks don't mean it's fully seated.)
