Super easy setup, larger inside than it appears, keeps smells inside of garbage can (use for diapers), and looks sleek in all black. Also functions very smoothly and quickly using the automatic lid so my hands don’t get nasty(er). Great value!

Sleek, works like a charm in my small kitchen. Still evaluating size but it's a keeper, just need to decide what room it will live in.

W had this tiny plastic bucket thing for kitchen compost. It seemed like it needed to be emptied every time I opened it up to toss something in. Not this bad boy, though. The same compost bags i was getting fit nicely in here. I'm sure some would quibble over the need to take off the lid, but i don't find it arduous at all. It slots in nicely under the sink and doesn't take up any more room at the front of the shelf than the old one because it's not an annoying box. Had someone given me this for Christmas, i would think of them for years to come as a wise and insightful person. The only problem to solve was how to manage keeping bags in place as the lid comes on and off. Fortunately, though, rubber bands exist. It wasn't even enough of a bother to cost a star.

Owned a few months short of 5 yrs, still working. I did need to pull it apart about 2 yrs in after it failed and I found a tiny switch wire detached.I re-soldered the wire and all was well until today, unit failed again. We always felt the lid delay to close was too quick but battery life was pretty good and we have been happy with it. We do not use the fragrance or VOC absorbent pad, just anther expense we can live without. We avoid tossing food out in house can unless close to filling.Found circuit board wiring plug-in fail this time, removing and re-installed a few times to get it to work. I went back to AC adapter operation, moved can close enough to outlet. Seemed to be dragging more and more over the years. Plugged is much better, no bogging down.Pretty sure most people are not interested in diagnosing issues, much less pulling the thing apart, so we are on the fence recommending it.Five yrs is good life but it took some work. I can imagine most auto types do not last 5 years. Best to just buy a manual open trash can. We made a mistake buying a auto-kitchen faucet once. It was a constant headache of fixing and fails from the first day. How hard was a regular faucet to operate? We will own a manual one for life.Live happy and live with manual operation everything, anything electric that can fail will

This product met most of my needs: automatic lid, easy to clean, AND as a deterrent to prevent my cats from rummaging through the smaller trash bins e.g. bathrooms, bedrooms in the house.I purchased covered trash bins for these spaces from a discount store - with the exception of my bedroom.I use a ridiculous amount of tissues during allergy season and wanted a trash bin with an automated lid next to my bed.The smaller itouchless was perfect. The sensor can detect movement whether the space is well-lighted, shaded or in darkness.The unit runs on AA batteries and can accommodate a power adapter that has to be purchased separately. I did not purchase the adapter.It ships with a small freshener filter (abt 1 inch x 2 inches). This is the only part that is completely useless.The filter is inserted within the side panel which also houses the control panel with indicator lightsBecause there is no organic or mechanical system to allow airflow through the filter - the freshener is pretty much useless :::shrug:: “B” for effort I guess.If I had written a review when I first started using it or even six (6) months later, I would have given it five (5) stars AND recommended it to family and friends- and even you - someone I do not know.HOWEVER- the product is not functioning properly after eight (8) months of flawless operation.The sensor is erratic and will detect movement about 15% of the time. And the lid partially opens (about three (3) inches from the rim).I changed the batteries and ensured that nothing is obstructing the lid or impeding it from opening e.g. dirt, food residue (although i only put non-edible trash in the bin) - but no bueno; these steps didn’t resolve the issue.Sooo…It is because of the lack of product support that has motivated me to write this negative review and to warn you - potential buyer - to reconsider purchasing any product by this merchant/manufacturer. I won’t recommend family and friends purchase from this company either.The quality of product support is abysmal- actually it is non-existent.- Calling the customer support number results in an unanswered phone. I’ve tried calling for about a week + a half only to get the integrated voice recording with transfer prompts. Selecting 2 - for customer service and support, the phone rings followed by a recording stating that the queue is full (paraphrasing), a suggestion to contact support via the website chat, and ending with a ‘beep’ - which would normally be preceded by instructions to leave a message. But since these instructions are not provided- I simply hang up.Reaching out via the website chat, I encounter a form to complete and the following message:“ Sorry, we missed you! Our Live Chat Support hours are Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm PST. Our office is closed on the weekends. Please leave a message and we'll get back to you when we return. Thank you for your patience.”I submitted the form a couple of times with no response from support.It is THIS frustration and irritation that I am warning you about.If you do not value post-purchase product support then buy this product When it works - it works as it is designed.For those like me, who value post-purchase product support AND have the expectation that there WILL BE support - I suggest you PURCHASE something else; nothing to see here.** I experienced this issue about eight (8) - nine (9) months after I purchased this.I’m bummed.Even if the product had to be replaced a couple of times and I was on first name basis with the customer service staff - I’d still purchase other products from this manufacturer because at least I’d know they “stand behind” their merchandise and “got my back”.But this is not the case.Caveat Emptor.

I've been looking for a smaller automatic opening trash can for a while. 13 gallon is too large for us empty nester and our garbage reeks long before it's full. Problem solved! 8 gallon is perfect size and it's also the cutest can I've ever owned. I got the white, round can and its very sleek. Blends right in with my decor and I'm very pleased.

This fit the space between my vanity and toilet perfectly. Excellent quality and holds in odors. I am very happy with my purchase!

It’s not worth the price ! Battery run out easily ,not recommend!

This is my second purchase of this unit and it’s been more than frequently used over 3 years, it finally gave up, but feel I got more than what I expected from it. I’m sure I’m not alone when I say I don’t want to ‘touch’ a disposing unit before I ‘dispose’ and this is the perfect size for my organics. The bags fit perfectly and I can’t say enough good about it. Clean and simple design too. Love love love it!

These little pads are so very effective for odor control...very pleased! Been using them for several years now!

I bought this as it's compact & neat-looking but with enough volume to not have to empty it every few days. The mechanism works well & batteries seem to last a long time.I haven't bought into all the odour-neutraliser & scent box stuff. If you keep your bin clean it doesn't smell!
