After replacing the broken latch on my 7 yr old Kenmore washer, I found that it still didn’t lock properly so I bought this piece and it fit like a dream and it now closes/locks correctly! Perfect replacement and cost effective. Simple repair that anyone can do. Remove 2 screws, detach the switch, reconnect the switch, attach the screws and you are done. Took me 5-minutes start to finish. Make sure to purchase the tool for removing and installing the gasket O-ring. I got one here on Amazon for about $10...it was worth every penny and saved me time and effort.

Had the door lock strike break and pieces of it ruined the door lock switch as well. Replaced all and this door lock switch fit perfectly and works well in our LG WM3570HWA washing machine. I would definitely buy again. Took me about 15 min to replace everything after watching a video first. Needed a tool to remove the spring around the door seal but you might be able to do it without one. Just made it quick. Happy wife, happy life 😀

Bought this to replace my 13 year old washing machine door lock. It's not really broken but since I'm replacing the drain pump and the boot seal, might as well change it. You'll need a special tool to remove the sping tensioned clamp holding the front boot seal to replace this one. It took me less than 2 minutes to remove the front boot clamp, 2 screws that hold the door lock and the connector. It's really quick and straightforward install. The lock works as it should and works like how my OEM part. I recommend changjng this part if you're changing the boot seal since it's fairly easy and a quick install.

My wife broke the locking mechanism on our LD washer machine, and I thought it was only the metal latch on the door, but upon replacing that little piece, I discovered that the Lock Switch Assembly was also damaged. I searched the web for a replacement and almost had a heart attack when I saw that the cheapest one was being sold for over $120. So I dug a little more, and this result came up while searching on Amazon. I was hesitant to order it because I couldn't believe the huge price difference, where this one is literally a tiny fraction of the OEM one, so I gave it a shoot with the conviction that upon receiving it, it wouldn't fit, and if it did fit, then it wouldn't work. Boy was I wrong! Not only does it fit perfectly, but it also works perfectly. So all I can say is, do not waste a dime more for any other options and much less pay the ridiculously expensive price for the OEM replacement, this one works and fits perfectly on LG Washer machines.

This worked out great and only took 5 minutes to install. If you don't already have a set of the specialized pliers for removing washer/dryer seal springs, you should invest the $7 in one as it makes this job sooo much easier.
