A clean unclipped output and a quality crossover unit but,
Very clean at full output. No clips on my oscilloscope. But it is not a line output driver. Dont buy it if you will also need a Line driver between the stereo and the crossover. The 5 volt output claimed by clarion is dependent on input voltage. If you have atleast 2.8 volts line level, then the 5V is possible.

I bought the exact same brand and model in 2009. That crossover worked flawlessly from 2009 until about two weeks ago. So basically, the thing lasted about 13 years. During that time, I ran 2 amplifiers, two 15 inch subwoofers, and four 6 inch speakers from it. I had a 1000 watt amp pushing my speakers, and a 2600 watt amp pushing my subwoofers. I played my music very loudly for hours at least 5 times a week, and the crossover still lasted all those years. Naturally, when the crossover finally failed, I wanted the exact same model if possible. Imagine my joy when I found the same model on Amazon! I've installed the new replacement and it sounds great! I'm looking forward to another 13 years of driving my neighbors crazy when I come home blasting my music in the middle of the night. Lol. Definitely worth the money and built to last.
