1998 Chevy 3500 Truck 5.7
Tired of replacing oil cooling lines. Simple, just remove the existing oil filter extension two 1/4 hex head bolts and install this using 3/16 hex head bolts supplied in the kit. My existing oil filter fit fine. Also, the two lines that connect to the radiator 13/16 wrench I just used a plumbing cut off tool and cut them. Then hammered the tubing that was left flat and reinstalled it. The bolts are back in the radiator with about 3in of tubing left. If I ever decide to have some made I know what to use and it fills up the hole.

Adapter works either way, however I seen on YouTube that it is better to install the larger part of adapter away from side oil passage to the engine, so less disruption to oil flow. I was very pleased to get rid of leaking oil cooler lines.

Check the threads before installation. Looks are deceiving.
This is a bad product. Put it on a brand new GM engine and when I turned it over, oil was all over the floor. Oil filter did not seat against block. Removed it. Found out that the threads were not threaded correctly. Oil filter would not go all the way to seat properly. Would not recommend. Caused a lot of extra work.
