Bought my plants from aquatic discounts and they where doing well, But some still had trouble, The ludwigia Repens wasn't growing new leafs but was staying green and red. The Ammania Gracilis where yellowing, so it was obvious the light was far from suitable in their original lamp. Everyone else was doing fine. But I wanted to give them all the better chance they needed. Researched my plants and light needs. While Cryptocoryne Walkeri are shade loving that just meant planting them under the driftwood and not out in the open. However with the lava rock soil from Caribsea and the API leafzone, no Co2 canister but lots of airation and current for my river lovin fish.. This light did just the thing! Got it yesterday morning, popped that baby up. turned the lights on and even spooked my room mates with it's sheen XD.I have to say, I've had some good purchases this month off amazon, and between this and the plants themselves it's a VERY hard race to first, But this light will help the plants thrive, so it's gotta be the winner. Absolutely stunning .. So many complain when a tank doesn't make the gravel shine "it's not bright enough and you have to buy two".. PEOPLE REMEMBER, the light that allows plants to photosynthesize is NOT a value of light our eyes can catch ;) If your plants are absolutly radiant and glowing, It's not your gravel Shimmer that says this light is awesome. It's those plants.Since placing the light in , leaving it on all night since the plants needed it. I woke up, my crypts are purple and obvious signs of being perky are there, my Ammania is bright and Bacoba is GREEN like, seriously the greenest thing in there. The echinodoris swords went from yellow to green taking over the majority of the leafs. The plants that where doing OK to good are now starting to open up their new leafs. Specially my Limnophila, It grew a segment overnight.People if you are looking for a sustainable light source for your tank. Get this light. While people complain that these kinds of lights LEDS go out, they won't if you have a properly set up tank, Pop some lids on your tank and place this over it and you are good to go. While adding a second one won't do any harm and add more light to your eyes, it's NOT nessasary, I have some hard plants in here to grow from stem, and they are happy as all heck under this.. Planing on getting some Dwarf tears and Hairgrass, so I will update this review then on if low ground plants enjoy it too.. I was hesitant to buy this light because it had no reviews, but I bought it after reading reviews of other lights of this brand. It is thin, sleek, and light weight. It fits my 48" long aquarium perfectly, and the legs extend, so it can fit a much larger tank. The LED'S are very bright, and illuminate the tank nicely; the moonlight setting is pretty as well.

Great value.. I removed a T5HO quad light, replace it with a single T8 6500k daylight fixture, and added these .. I had trouble keeping the tank (75 gallon planted) from getting to warm. This light doesn't seem bright enough to support plants on it's own, but it's still a great deal 👍

We have a 55 gallon tank with florescent white lights and we wanted to upgrade to LED. What a difference this light made! All fish and decor are brighter and more fun to watch! The option for the blue lights is cool for our glofish! I recommend this 100%

I have a 55 gallon African Cichlids tank and had power compacts lighting the aquarium up. I was thinking for a long time now that it's time to get some shimmering in the tank. Wow these lights do it and glad we made the purchase. :)
