We bought one August 29, and then two more, to replace the Bernz-omatic gas lighters that we had used for years. At first I was very pleased with them, and was hoping to get a year's use, as they would pay for themselves compared to the cost of the gas lighters.At the end of October---two months later---one is still working and the other two are dead, though still accepting a charge. We used them carefully, according to the accompanying instructions, so I have to believe that the design, or choice of materials, is defective.Brian Burns

Excellent purchase. It arrived on time, and pre-charged. I did charge it to full before using, and it's been over a week with no need to plug it back in. If you are used to flame lighters, it will take a little getting used to; you have to shove the end of your cig right into the arc rather than holding it over the top as you do with a flame. The plus is that anything you put into that arc is instantly on fire--so be a bit careful :)It is very pretty, also very solid--heavy but not too heavy. I am enjoying using this lighter.

So far I'm in love. This lighter ignites my cigarettes quickly, and is windproof. It took me a little bit to master quick ignition of my cigs, but once I mastered it I am completely in love with this product. A few co-workers of mine are saying they think this is the coolest lighter and are looking to purchase this themselves. I will upgrade this review to 5 stars after I see how long a full charge lasts. So far it's been a few days and I use it at least 10 times a day, if not more.

Very cool lighter! Works great and I love not having to refill it AND it's wind proof! The instructions are a riot. Someone obviously used a translation app to translate phrases and then stuck them together to make sentences. The result was comic nonsense. Glad the lighter is better than the instructions.

My first rechargeable lighter and I am well pleased with this purchase.Granted, time will reveal how well the unit holds up but overall the reviews I read that supported this purchase are spot on.Easy to use although, it takes a moment to learn to light a cigarette without a flame and where to position the cigarette.First time out of the box..........instant power.The design and ease of use is very good.

These are so cool. They work perfect for lighting BBQ grills. Charging with a USB port is really neat. No need to buy batteries or matches or lighters..

I use several types of lighters (Zippos, Bics, refillable butane), but this is my favorite by a long shot. Charge it up, and it is ready for use.With an adapter (found here  Micro USB to USB, Rankie 3-Pack Micro USB Male to USB 2.0 Female Converter On-The-Go (OTG) Adapter - R1170 , I can even charge this thing with my cell phone, without using very much of the cell phone power. Battery indicator on the phone shows very little drop after charging the lighter up. Very nice feature when I am out in the field, and do not have a normal USB port to charge the lighter - just use my cell phone, and I am good to go.I know everyone's habits and situations are different, but for my personal usage, this thing will stay charged for about a week at a time with everyday use. I also love the fact that there is no fire, no fuel, no wicks, no flint, nothing but a small electric arc that lights a cigarette fast, and cleanly.I work in an environment where the wind plays heck using a normal lighter. This little puppy serves me well in these situations. This is what I would call a true Windproof lighter!I also get compliments, and some oohs and ahhs whenever I pull it out and use it. That's pretty cool too!

This thing doesn’t work, at all. I’ve plugged it in for at least 6 hours and when I turn it on against the candle, nothing happens. No current, nothing. Avoid buying this at all costs.
