I purchased this Five Star loose leaf paper for school, and it has been fantastic. The sheets are thick, smooth, and durable, so they hold up well to heavy writing without tearing. I love that the edges are reinforced, which keeps them from ripping when inserted into binders. The integration with the Five Star Study App is a nice bonus—scanning notes is quick and easy, and the app helps keep everything organized digitally. One of the few notebook papers that can hold up to fountain pen ink without feathering or bleed-through. These are larger than cheaper Superstore notebook papers. The plastic reinforced side with holes are also more durable.

This paper is so smooth. Easy to write on, thick and strong. The 3 holes are laminated so they are protected from tearing. Superb quality paper. Definitely worth it. It seems weird because it’s just loose leaf paper, but trust me. If your notes are important this is the one to get.

I have been in college for three years and since the beginning I have been using a five star flex notebook binder. I love it because I can move around pages and add more pages with ease, but a huge drawback was that at the middle of every semester the paper at the front would literally be falling out of it. I would constantly be tearing out pages accidentally and I had no idea how to stop it. Then I found this paper. When I tell you I WISH I would have found this three years ago I mean it! Not only is the paper really high quality and great to write on, but it will not budge from my binder no matter what I do. If I hold one page of the paper and let the rest of the weight of my binder hang down it still does not come out. This is literally the best paper ever and I’m so glad I found it. Worth every single penny.

To be honest, I used this paper to fold paper airplanes folded sideways. The tough, yet thin, plastic reinforced strip on the side of the paper to reinforce the holes made a good leading edge of my paper airplanes. Most loose leaf paper is much too thin, pretty much garbage paper and do not make very good paper airplanes. The heavier 20lb paper (while still on the light side and not as great as 24lb paper) is far stronger; I needed that nostalgic lined-paper that I used to fold my paper planes as a kid, and I found one worthy of flying against the trade winds we have here in Hawaii. I am glad Five Star created such quality paper in the loose leaf category.

I loved using these folder papers especially becasue they had the paper holes reinforced with plastic so they don't tear and fall out my folder like the regular ones. I also like that they were thick because my gel pens wouldn't bleed through the paper so I could also write on the back. They were so good I started using them for special occasions because I felt wasteful using them to just take notes

I am very happy with the reinforced left side of this paper - keeps it from ripping out of the kids roughly-handled notebooks. With several lefties in the family, I appreciate that ink does not easily smear. One 6-pack lasted both kids through the entire school year.
