Living in a very hard water area, we rely on these tablets to keep limescale under control and our washing machine clean and fresh.When we recently had the machine serviced for an electrical fault, the engineer actually asked, “Is this new?”“Nope, had it for years!”He was genuinely surprised at how clean it was inside.About once a month, I run the drum clean cycle with one of these tablets for a deep clean, and it always leaves things smelling fresh.I haven’t had any issues with tablets not dissolving, although we do always run an extra rinse and extra spin with our laundry, just in case.They are quite pricey, so we stock up whenever there’s a good offer – Black Friday, supermarket sales, that kind of thing. Well worth it when you buy them at the right price.

We do have trouble on after smells in our washing machine even after a wash tub cycle. These do help keep things fresh we use again.

Although I live in a soft water area, we do still get minor limescale build up. Add in the problems of odour and mould due to the lower temperatures used for the washing machine. I decided to try the Calgon after using lots of other 'remedies' and this has been the deal breaker. No more stale odours, no scale build up, and hygienically clean clothes. I don't even need to use it in every wash (1 in 3, due to soft water). Definitely worth it's weight in gold!
