Works great for grinding spices. Is easy to fill and I like the holder. They are metal and glass, which are much sturdier and look nice on the table; not cheap-looking like plastic. The stainless lids keep them fresh and look nice as well. I use one for sea salt and one for dried spicy garlic.

Ceramic adjustable grind salt and pepper mills are great, and these are a pretty good set with the added bonus of the holding rack, which my wife is very fond of. This allows her to more easily set the table and clear the table with a single hand for the salt and pepper mills. It is a small luxury, but still there.The glass on these mills is thinner than most that I have reviewed and the first set I received has a bubble on the outside of the glass which had sharp edges. I contacted the seller and they were concerned and stated they would contact their manufacturer to see where the failure to catch the flaw arose and then offered to replace the set, with the option to simply buy a second set at the same discount.I have received the second set, and this one is flawless. the glass is still thinner than many other brands, which has benefits and cost. The benefit is that it is much lighter and a larger interior area for the salt or pepper. The cost is that they will be more fragile. There should be nothing to worry about them being fragile unless you drop them to the floor. With thick ceramic tiles, pretty much anything glass that hits my floor, no matter how durable, is going to break, so being fragile is less of a burden to me. People with wood floors might increase their risk of breakage with this thinner material.All in all this is the same quality of most mills on the market, with ceramic grinders, stainless steel caps, adjustable coarseness, the difficulty to to actually grind the salt or pepper is the same as every other one I have used in the same size category and so forth. So, with that in mind, the choice to buy this over other brands would be the desire for the carry rack or wanting lighter weight grinders and of course price concerns.I received this item and its replacement at a discount for my honest review.I could have returned the first one for a full refund, but they gave the option to allow me to keep it and get a second one shipped by amazon again at the same discount, which is the path I chose.

I really liked the look and function of these grinders, and having the included stand was a nice bonus. Unfortunately, one of the grinders became defective after three weeks of using it. The metal band that covers the end of the grinder detached from the plastic housing beneath it, so whenever the end of the grinder was rotated, only the metal ban would rotate and not the plastic unit that rotates the grinder. I ended up returning the set because of this problem.

I have a similar set that I absolutely love and have given a set to my son who also loves his. However, I sent a set from this seller (AFMA Kitchen) to my daughter as a housewarming gift for her first home and will never buy from this seller again! The tops of the "stainless steel" grinders were black and discolored and could not be cleaned. They looked to be VERY old. I recommend these salt & pepper grinders but advise against ordering them from the seller AFMA Kitchen!

The set is generally okay at this price point. The only thing I'm concerned about is the cradle metal which I think is made out of chrome or nickle plated steel and may not last long before it corrodes. Also, the edges of the opening seemed sharp to the touch and sometimes tricky to open the lid since there is no grab point on the lid

These salt & pepper mills are just the right size and the right price. The grinders seem to be sturdy and yet easy to hold and operate. Our other set of a different brand broke after several years and these are the replacement and so far I like them more than the last set.

I love the grinders. They're easier to use and to fill than what I had, and those prefilled grinders often hurt my hands so much thst I'll do without seasoning. My only complaint is that the finidh on the carrier is pitted in many places, so it didn't actually turn out to be as decorative an accent as I would have liked. I won't return it, though, since the salt snd pepper mills themselves are very nice looking and functional - and price was very good.

This could simply be a case of getting what you pay for, however, one grinder worked well. The other grinder's glass snapped at the neck at the very first usage. Fortunately, we were making a rub and not using it over food. 50/50 durability is not something I could recommend for purchase.
