This is the third one I’ve owned. The batteries last. The pictures are clear. I like that I can set on night only so that I don’t get all of the daytime movement. It’s easy to switch to daytime if I want to capture birds.

This is my second camera of this model. I broke the latch on the first by accident. It’s pics are clear, camera /menu is easy to operate. All of the settings offered are plenty for my use. I have 4 other cameras and this one is my favorite. Night time images are pretty nice. The only thing odd is the way they designed the slot for the SD card… it places the little notch of the card inward so you can’t really use your finger nail to pull it out… making it hard to grasp after it pops out of the slot. Aside from that I think it’s well worth the money.

The Alpha Cam is solidly built and makes a good seal when the latch is closed, keeping out moisture. LCD screen is very readable and the set-up is straight forward. Daytime photos and videos are great. The nighttime shots are also good. The support staff is first rate. They replied to my questions (there were many) the same day I asked.Tips: The User Guide Manual may be hard to read for some because of the small print. You can download the User Guide Manual (ACDL) as a PDF file from the Alphacamhunt.com website for much better readability. The Alpha Cam has a USB port that will accept a USB cable to transfer photos/videos to a PC. You can insert a small padlock at the bottom of the latch mechanism, that will make it difficult for anyone to open the cam.Update 11/17/21: Sad to write this but the cam died on June 2021, purchased on January 2021. Located under a roof overhang to protect it from rain, sun, etc. Cam worked great for a while but just died on its own. Batteries were in good condition when last used earlier in June. Have to lower the rating from 5 stars to 2 stars.Update 02/20/22: Support staff being first rate honored my 2 year warranty and sent me a new alpha cam. The new cam works fine, nice photos & videos, etc. Hopefully, the first cam failure was an oddity and the new cam will work better. I've changed my rating from 2 stars to 4 stars.

Up to a total of 7 of these on my property, battery life is good with regular Alkaline batteries, photo quality is good, love that they have the screen, easily adjusted. There are better cameras on the market but way too expensive, these are plenty good enough!

For the first year, these do great. They take good photos, they are fast, and they do decent with the battery... After that, then it seems like it is hit or miss on the moisture seal. Once rainwater/moisture gets into one off these, they are $100 recycling donation. I typically clean my seals regularly to make sure no grit/sands are in the seal. I have a few vandal boxes I made out off electric disconnects and those seem to protect these well. Two of my cameras that are in these boxes have lasted a few years without incident. It seems it is all about moisture protection.If they could just improve the seals on these, they would be a great value and a great camera. I think I am going to make a few more vandal boxes or some sort of protection system and try that out along with maybe putting a light cooking oil on the seal to help make the seal better.Overall - all is great, except their gasket seal!

This is a great camera. Easy to use and excellent images in day and night... But the reason I'm writing this review it to share my excellent customer service experience (which is in short supply these days). I had a problem with one of the two camera I purchased ~9 months ago and emailed ALPHA CAM Store regarding the two year warranty. No weaseling, no forms, no questions... Just forthcoming help, a replacement camera shipped immediately, and with a return label for the camera to return. Buy with confidence!... The cameras are great and the customer service is excellent! Thank you ALPHA CAM Store!

I must say I’m a little disappointed with the pictures from this camera. Not at all what I had hoped for. Not only is the nighttime movement blurry, so is the daytime movement and not just a little blur, a lot. Now the videos are pretty good. Apenas hace pocos días instalamos las cámaras en el bosque, entonces habrá que esperar un tiempo para ver como se comportan, pero se ve robusta y bien construída, es fácil de configurar e instalar y las imágenes de prueba se ven bien.
