Heavy duty and well built.
Heavy duty and well built. I use it a lot and put it through its paces. If I had to say one thing the rounds sanding disc seem to have an issue staying on but that more of a product issue.

Workhorse
This has been a workhorse in our toymaking shop. I wasn't sure how well it would stand up with it's small size. But it has stood the test for years. I recently bought a second one so two people can sand at the same time.

Happy With Purchase
This is the first belt/disc sander I have owned. I have used the belt sander a couple of times and it works great. I took one star away because the dust ports on the belt and on the disc are different sizes. The unit came with an adapter but it only fits on the disc collector port. I don't own a lot of dust creating tools but having different size ports on one tool seems odd. The port on the belt sander is on the side, but shown on the end in the images. It makes more sense to be on the side so that is a plus. The disc sander did not come with a safety cover. A safety cover was not shown in the item description, but it might be a good to have item.

Good value and very pleased with this sander.
I found this sander to be a nice upgrade from my older one. Some reviews were mentioning when tightening down the tables you needed to compensate so it would end up in the angle one wants. This was happening only for the belt table on this unit. Easy remedy, I just cleaned the surfaces and (cut from a 5" disc) applied paper backed PSA 150#. Locks right in place now. Additionally, tracking works fine, very low noise level, .003 face runout on disc, solid operation and nice to have dust ports.

Needs modding for knifemaking
Over all, this is a great belt sander and worth the price. If you want to use this for knifemaking, we'll get ready to mod it. The table for the 4x36 belt is... less than adequate so fabricating a new one is a must. The other issue is the platten... there's no edge and to make good plunge lines you need one. So adding a steel or porcelain piece under the belt to give a sharp edge to work off of is another must.Bottom line: it works with a few mods until you can upgrade to a 2x72.

This sander is well worth the cost. It solved a problem I had in the manufacture of something in the shop. It is solid, well made and even beautiful with its lustrous gold finish. The rotating tables fasten solid and true, important for me. I added something it should come with to the disk. That is instead of having glue on discs I converted it to hook and loop so I can use sand net disks and change discs easily. You cannot get the 6” discs at HD but can find them on Amazon.
