Great image quality thru the camera to a large PC display.
I wanted to view the edge of a knife blade, to judge my sharpening attempts. The digital camera, displaying on a large screen, worked perfectly. This thing is HEAVY. Well made, and the adjustment knobs work smoothly. No downsides to this one, except the price (which is in line with other mfrs.).

Not as described
Didn't include any protection for the eyepieces or camera. Not in like new condition. Right fixed eye piece is loose and won't stay where adjusted. No cord for eyepiece camera. Oil leaked. No lens protection at all. Entire microscope needs to be cleaned, including all lenses and eye pieces.

The microscope is amazing, I love it. I just wish the instructions had more info. I feel the booklet is made for people who studied microscopes in school. For me, it's a hobby, so it was a bit of a learning curve to get it working right. A tip for the camera, you have a threaded shaft that also has a ring on it that can be rotated on the threads. So when you screw the camera in, turn the microscope on, attach the camera at the top, focus on a slide, and then screw the camera attachment in, while looking at the image you get on your computer. When it's focused like in the eyepiece, then screw the ring in so it tightens, and stays focused. When doing this, I recommend finding a small particle on one of the pre-prepared slides, a particle that goes from an o shape to black and then to blurry when turning the fine focus knob, and first focus on the particle when it's fully black, then focus the camera to have it be black, then set the focus back so the particle becomes o shaped. If your camera attachment is well focused, you will see the o shape the same way on the screen.

For the money this has a lot of value. Build quality is good. The only criticism I have would be that it would be nice to have a good mounting system for a top light. Other scopes accept ring lights and goosenecks with a pre-designed mounting structure. I have since purchased a stand alone gooseneck light but would like something more integrated. I see that swift makes models with top lighting but for the extra money they charge for that feature I find that to be too expensive.

So I can’t seem to get the last magnification to work sadly. The light on the microscope isn’t that bright. The camera was a pain in the butt to install. Also the camera is a drop in camera that’s not faceted in there so it moves around. There’s no cases for the accessories, and the video attached was with the video lense, playing on my 40 inch LCD monitor connected to my PC. There’s quality is decent. I would say that the use of the microscope is a little confusing. It’s decent enough. I would Recommend it. The video is of goldfish aquarium water. Pretty cool eh?
