Once upon a time, a lightbulb had one job: on or off. Now I’ve got this Tapo smart bulb, and suddenly I feel like the captain of the Starship Enterprise, casually commanding the lighting with my voice.It’s a B22 bayonet fitting, so no faffing about with adapters, and at 8.7W (the equivalent of 60W in old money) it’s bright enough to light the room without burning a hole in my electricity bill. Being LED and energy-saving, I can also pretend I’m doing my bit for the planet while basking in neon purple.The fun part, of course, is the multicolour options. One minute my living room’s a cosy warm white, the next it’s nightclub pink. The dimmable settings mean I can set the mood — whether that’s “relaxing with a cuppa” or “dramatic villain monologue.”The schedule and timer functions are genius. I’ve set mine to switch on when I’m away, so it looks like I’ve got a very committed burglar deterrent. And with voice control via Alexa or Google, I can now shout, “Let there be light!” without moving an inch. Truly living the dream.Verdict: A cracking smart bulb that makes every other bulb in the house feel positively medieval. Once you’ve had one, you’ll want to colour-code your entire life.

Brilliant addition to my Tapo set up, links to my hub and Alexa. Really easy to set up and used in a floor standing lamp in the living room. It's bright and the options to change the colour, brightness and shades are fantastic. Once again a great Tapo product.

I have quite a few TAPO bulbs in my house, and they work great. The light is good and strong, the functions all work, they work smoothly with the TAPO app and the ALEXA system. Setting them up is a snap. I couldn't be happier.

I have been using this for around a year now, and i can say with full confidence that this is one of the best purchases i have made. white light straining my eyes? change it to warm. forgot to turn off my light when i left the house? turn it off from my phone. need help waking up? set a timer for the light to turn on at the same time as my alexa alarm. too lazy to turn of the light when I'm comfortable in bed or on the couch? ask alexa to turn it off.honestly the lamp has been a life saver for days i feel lazy. it also comes with multiple colours, perfect for any vibe or setting the scene for films or shows. you can change the the brightness of each light which is extremely useful. It's compatible with the alexa and extremely easy to connect. the quality is amazing, and its so easy to control the light via either the app or alexa once connected. I would 100% recommend to anyone.

Great bulb. Easy to set up. Bought to use as 'fake sunrise' during winter. Option of different colours, scheduling, and control made this a great buy. Bit pricey but nice quality and works well with rest of tp link tapo stuff I have. Would buy again.

Bought this along with an Alexa and it was easy to setup from my phone and it's still holding up strong. You can use the basic presets with alexa and then you can do more detailed controls on mobile and some really nice looking colours.The alexa compatibility is a nice touch when.km too lazy to get up and control it via my phone.

These bulbs last .they're easy to connect up. they function great.no flickering great colours excellent value for money.just follow instructions for connecting to your WiFi .they do seem to connect much easier with matter.worth that bit extra glad I updated them now as I don't have to reboot them if I loose signal they do it automatically sticking with the tapo brand now.

Such a fun light! I paired it up with my Alexa and it makes it so easy to change the colour, dim the lights and even ask for party/disco lights!! Really easy to install, and worked instantly. Also saves me getting up from my bed to turn the light on and off 😂 I will be getting more of these around the house
