Does the job

Functionality easy to use, screens great, build quality with rubber surround making it durable. Smaller than a tablet more like a mobile phone. I've had my moneys worth the specific vw audi section has many Deep dive checks in it. Value for money in my opinion.

The product was very easy to use. A simple case of plugging it into the car’s system. Using the graphic screen you select what system you want to scan and it will show error codes which you can go onto to find out more detail. It does not detail what parts are at fault but gives a good idea where to look.

Very pleased with this diagnostic tool because it worked straight away with my VW Amarok. Purchased this version because it can code new injectors and that's on my to do list.

First of all, the price is ridiculous for the quality of the product you receive. Secondly, I have a “check brake pad” warning light and fault code, which this is completely unable to remove. Returned to Amazon for a refund. Waste of time.

Bought this particular model as it states it has DPF functionality. Unfortunately this did not work on my Golf or T6. Contacted seller suggested to download latest software which I need. Still no DPF. So have returned item. Bought the Carista tool and it includes PDF soot levels and regen. It’s so much better.

The fact of life is that as automobiles have become more and more complex, with electronic control of systems that used to be fully mechanical, the tools needed to perform routine maintenance tasks have also increased in complexity. For those with more modest needs, the VD700 can do the job, and as a piece of autonomous hardware, also carries one significant advantage over the phone app-based, cloud-connected diagnostic tool options. While those types of tools are also very capable, and popular, their reliance on cloud connections, and subscription-based revenue models can present their own challenges and foibles. One faulty link in their chains can turn a routine task into a tech support ordeal, not aided by the fact their developers can be based overseas in different time zones, not conducive to getting timely, or easy support. When a job needs to be done, on time, with the vehicle off road, having the tool fail you is among the most frustrating circumstances one may experience. Ultimately, the "right tool for the right job" is the mantra that rules, so plan and act accordingly. Each has its use cases, and the owner will have to decide which suits their needs best. But even a simpler tool like the VD700 can easily justify its cost with one job, like the halving the cost of a routine brake job, compared to having it done by a shop.

It works very well on my 2009 passat airbag issues. I was able to clear a few codes after removing the car battery.

J'ai pas mal tourné pour choisir un outil. A la base mon besoin était de reprogrammer les info pour un changement de batterie (dans le groupe VW, les info de batterie doivent être reprogrammées lors d'un chnagement pour que le BMS puisse prendre en compte ce changement dans sa stratégie de pilotage de la charge et du start and stop). L'outil est très pratique, marche bien et est "assez instinctif". Il faut de toute manière être assez au courant des architectures modernes véhicule pour savoir ce que l'on fait mais tout se passe bien. Je confirme par la même que cette outil permet la reprog des info batterie sur une seat leon 5F de 2019 ainsi que l'éffacement des codes d'erreur présent le cas échéant.
