For Christmas, my son asked for this specific wheel attachment to play Mario, and he is very happy with the gift. It works like a charm, and is much more affordable than the “licensed” Mario wheels. It is responsive and feels realistic. The only thing I would advise you is to make sure you have a smooth level surface to stick it on, otherwise the suction cups won’t stay put.

Most of the mediocre/negative reviews for this are because people don't understand what they are buying and that it won't work for all racing games. This is a piece of plastic that holds your joy-con controllers and allows you to turn them like a wheel. That's it. For it to work well in a game, the game itself needs to have tilt controls. Auto acceleration is not 100% necessary but hugely helpful. It works for Mario Kart 8 because Mario Kart supports tilt controls and Mario Kart supports automatic acceleration. ZL and ZR are blocked when the joycons are in the wheel but L/R are accessible so no problem for Mario Kart. Make sure to turn on tilt and auto accel during kart selection Cruis'n Blast also supports auto acceleration and the couple of necessary buttons are accessible as well. Make sure to turn on tilt and auto accel in the pause menu. The price of this seems to fluctuate. For the sale price of $15 it's awesome. For $30, it's definitely way overpriced.

Love the look and price. However the suction cups do not stick to anything and we are unable to use the product successfully. Color is nice and switch controllers fit, but again not easy to use since we can’t get it to stick.

cant use R and L bummer due to what im callin a design flaw, much smaller than it look, suction cups arent great, but i didnt by a used "like new" one for less price, so you get what you pay for in the end, it works just fine for any switch racing game that support motion controls, though even with the screws in place its a bit flimsy. theres no locking mechanism for the stand either so i falls no matter what, i mean i got cause it was cheap and my bday, lots yolo in this one for sure. im goin to paint it red and fix the various flaws anyway, hence why you buy it cheap so you can mod it if necessary. amazon doesnt have many options for this kinda thing, so you maybe better off just getting the nintendo brand steering wheel with the pedals for $60 Update: I ended up liking it more than expected, got another used one for my spouse as well. Works with any racing game with motion controls, so there’s a lot of options. Now to home depot for a couple bench clips/vice to fix the suction cup problem(doesn’t work on new table)

This was a favorite gift to our grandson. It works out great and has had a lot of use.

The whole thing doesn’t suction well to most surfaces.

I purchased this steering wheel for my 6 yr old son to keep him off my teenagers 1500 $ driving simulator, This is very good for the price has some issues with sticking to table top ,
