My favorite L-Ascorbic Acid powder -- dissolves quickly and doesn't require much stirring compared to NOW and other brands I've used and is the ideal brand for people with food sensitivities. Plus, this Ascorbic Acid has never been oxidized upon opening the bottle as certain other brands have been. Add a slight amount of lemon juice, about 4 drops of stevia (like Sweetleaf Organic), and a full serving of Ascorbic Acid and you've got a delicious and health-promoting mock lemonade. Or add a small amount of lukewarm water to 1/8 tsp - 1/4 tsp of the powder, stir, and optionally add a tiny bit of aloe or Vitamin E -- now you've got a cheap but very effective face mask to heal your skin. (This will sting slightly, but your complexion will look lovely afterward! And you can always neutralize it with a 10% baking soda-water solution if you like, though it's not necessary.) Excellent quality Vitamin C powder. I use it for making a skincare serum and I had to dilute the formula because it's so strong (at least compared to my old jar of Vitamin Shop powder; the potency of Vit C diminishes over time after it's been exposed to air). About 90% of what I added to water dissolved very quickly, in less than a minute, however that last trace of 10% or so took about an hour to completely vanish, but still, that is excellent timing as other powders I've tried have had to sit overnight before the granules disappeared. The expiration date on the container is a long way off so I know that I received a product that has not been sitting on a warehouse shelf for too long. Shipping experience was great--even with Prime it arrived a day earlier than expected. Highly recommend.

My family and I love this product. We use it regularly and it’s super effective if you are around other sick people or have a feeling you could be getting sick. We take 1/2 tsp (2,000mg) 5x a day if we feel like we could be getting sick. We also like to pair it with oil of oregano, and elderberry syrup for even better effect. I’ve given this to many friends/family at the beginning of their bad cold and they start feeling better within 24hrs. Personal experience: I once was volunteering at a Sunday school and another volunteer in the same class came in to help me and she was terribly sick (sneezing, coughing, blowing her nose like crazy) don’t ask why she even showed up but the next day I woke up feeling like I had caught the terrible cold from her. I started taking this immediately and also paired it with 5 drops of oil of oregano and my cold never got nearly as bad as I saw her. I just had low energy for 2 days. I took it easy but I could still function and do house chores by day 2. And was able to go to work by day 3. It never got unbearable. Highly recommend this product.

I bought this powder over other brands mostly because it does not contain any artificial ingredients and is truly pure vitamin C. The powder itself is easily able to be mixed into any drink: hot tea, flavored drinks or even water (which makes a homemade concoction resembling a lemony version of Tang). The powder is a bit more sour than I expected (a normal dose is 1/2 teaspoon, which I’ve been doing several times a day to keep my Vit C intake high during cold/flu season). I’ve heard that this company also makes another product (SA powder) which tastes salty rather than sour like this Ascorbic Acid (AA). Overall, I would purchase again because it’s a good product, and I’ve enjoyed the health benefits, but it can be a bit sour at times if not mixed into something to temper the taste.

I make diy liposomal vitamin C with this as the pre-packaged kinds are too expensive for me and many times they add ingredients I can't have anyway because of all my food sensitivities. I know there are websites that say making your own doesn't work, that it doesn't get into the cells that well, but I definitely feel a difference when I take it over how I feel when I just take the powder alone so it's doing something. This version of ascorbic acid powder works very well for this. Yeah, the flavor is tart but I've gotten used to it and with the sunflower lecithin, it actually very calming. I plan on continuing to buy this brand (unless they change something) in the future.
