Fantastic monitor for the price
This is my first ultrawide monitor. I've been using a 27" and a 22" dual setup for a while and my 27" just died so I needed a new one. I decided on this one after basically thinking about how cool gaming would be on it, and the price was good so I tried it; and I'm definitely going to be using an utrawide setup from now on. It looks so good next to my 24" monitor (the 29" ultrawide is actually just a little shorter than a 24" monitor) and it's light enough to use an arm mount on it, which I love. The picture is fantastic, however, when I first bought it, I was very disappointed in the picture. The blacks were awful, the whites were very yellow and the contrast was really bad. I went online and found some Reddit forums about this monitor and the color issues I as having with it, and found out that I just needed to adjust some setting. After the setting changes it looks sooooo good. I've never had an issue with my 22" HP monitor but after seeing the white and black levels with my new setting this monitor, my 22" is starting to look worse in comparison to this one. I'm definitely going to be replacing it and probably with another one of these monitors.I'm using it for gaming and movies, and it is so cool playing in ultrawide in games like Fallout 4 and ESO. 2d games will either stretch to the size of the monitor or leave black bars on the side to keep the 16:9 aspect. The black bars are most peoples biggest issue but it never really bothers me. Even better than the gaming is watching a movie, movies are awesome on this monitor. I watch so many movies and I'm still surprised at how many movies are set in 21:9 widescreen, which is this monitors aspect. Of course any movie that has a native aspect of 16:9 will also either get stretched or have black bars on the side. When it comes down to it, most movies are in widescreen but most, if not all TV shows are set in 16:9 so Netflix and Hulu shows will all have black bars on the sides. Luckily I have the 22" monitor to use for those shows but even with the black bars it's still totally watchable on this monitor.Overall, this is totally worth buying. I think I might go with the 34" and a 27" 16:9 next to it next time, but for now this is just an awesome monitor. Just remember to changes the settings. Play around with the brightness and contrast settings but first, change the gamma to 0. The gamma is set to 1 on default and it makes everything look yellow. After that it's a good idea to pick a good black stabilizer setting; I just kept adjusting it until I found a black level I liked. After that, its all about whatever you settings you think look best.I hope this helps. Thanks

Really good budget friendly ultrawide
Tldr:Its a good entry level monitor. I had problems with the stand but other then that its amazing out of the box.I have had this monitor for almost 5 months now. I couldn't be happier with my panel. The on screen display is miles ahead of the competitors that still use the buttons on the bottom instead of the joy stick approach. Navigating is a breeze and I found myself in the menu more then I was on my old monitor. It's just so easy to go in and change from game mode into a dimmer reader mode. The speakers are really good for being monitor speakers. I overclocked my panel to 75htz no problem with freesync and it works like a dream. Its a really good monitor for the price especially for an ultrawide.Cons:The stand could be implemented way better. My friend got the 34 inch version with the one click release for the stand mount. If that would have been on this version it would be a huge upgrade. My stand was super wobbly and my screws broke off into my panel. Luckily I was able to get them out. If you keep with the stand I would recommend getting some higher quality screws from a hardware store. Especially if you move it a lot like I do.The color accuracy of my panel wasn't the best out of the box but it wasn't terrible either. After I calibrated it I could use it for editing without an issue. Conclusion:This is a really good more wallet friendly ultrawide. If calibrated it can work for editing and has some really good real estate for it too. Very productivity friendly. I can write my college essays on one 3rd of the screen and have research on the other 2 3rds. Gaming is also a really good experience. If you find games with support for 21:9, you get an experience that you just can't get with 16:9. I can never go back to old boxy my old daily driver. I mean its 2017 in the current year its got to be ultrawide. Well I guess I'm just rambling now and sliding down a pole towards dank memes. I'll finish with this. This monitor has been everything I wanted in a monitor. I mea. its no x34 predator but its a start and its a pretty dang good one. You won't be disappointed. Tha tha tha thats all folks!!!!
