Wise Mountable Poultry Feeder - 20 lb (Gray)

Solved a lot of headaches and saves time! Mounted to wall inside of coop so it doesn't take up much space and the food stays clean. They still throw some of the food out while they dig in it, but the area the food dispenses in is small,has dividers and keeps it more contained to one spot right in front of the feeder. You can see a bit thru the top part to determine food level/quantity.We mounted ours to 2 2x6 pieces of wood and then to the coop wall to give it more support .our chickens like it.its a bit over priced but worth it for ease of use and less food waste.

The idea of being able to increase capacity by adding extenders is fantastic but the execution is not.The tabs on the extender do not hold properly if there is a slightest bend, and they never seem to fit tight due to deformation from factory or packing. That causes the whole stack to fall down and spilling the feed. It would help if they put more tabs.It does not work well outdoors, depending on the weather. Even when protected from rain, morning dew seeps in between the seems and cakes the feed. Hardened feed then gets stuck and no longer drops into the feeding area.Works fine indoors, but it is difficult to mount because they do not provide a drilling template. The first 4 horizontal holes are no problem using a level, but the second 4 holes are difficult to align. They could have simply printed the template on the back of the instruction sheet. Sheesh!Note: It is not unusual to get a better deal buying directly from the manufacturer, but you still buy from Amazon for convenience and other benefits. There's no template to show you how far apart the brackets should be mounted, so it's a total guessing game trying to get them screwed in correctly, and if it's off by even a quarter of an inch the feeder falls off the wall constantly. Very annoying- food all over the floor. Plus the top area that holds the food is flimsy plastic and just clips onto the bottom part, so when it falls off the wall that detatches, spilling all the back up food everywhere. Needless to say, my chickens think that's fantastic, but I don't.
