Since it’s so so pricey, I tried others first, but this is the only box my cats like. I got one when they were kittens and used the side opening as well as the top. They would barely use the other boxes at all. Once they were able to easily manage the jump, I switched to top entry only. They continue to prefer the top. The boy cats are large, and high pee-ers. Having tried all the high side boxes, this is the only style that works to contain their waste. It looks good, and is very easy to clean. Since it’s completely contained you don’t see the mess and can keep them out, in a living space. Which leads to more scooping. Which everyone benefits from. The liners last a long time, if you scoop regularly . I dont know if the filters do anything, really, but I keep replacing them periodically. The top is fiddly to assemble, with a fragile frame that is easy to break when putting it together, if you’re not careful, but once installed works great. Just be gentle at first when assembling the top frame. The pieces that slide together can break off. For our first one, I had to use gorilla glue after snapping the tab on one side. It’s still working years later. For the others I didn’t make that same mistake. After a year I realized you didn’t have to remove the top to scoop. It folds and rests in the grooves in the top frame. We had 2 for a long time but when the cats became 3yrs old, we moved and they let us know they needed a 3rd box. I didn’t want to spend the money, again, $600 on litter boxes?!? I can’t do it!! and thought I didn’t have the space for another one, so once again tried cheaper boxes. It was a total bust. The one cat peed in front of it again and again. He kept trying to get in, and failed . Then the pee spots expanded, the cats hissed around all the boxes, the situation was a mess and getting worse. Finally I broke down, got the 3rd one, found a place for it, and immediately harmony was restored and no more accidents. It’s worth it to me now. If they ever break, unlikely since they are so sturdy, but if we moved and one of them cracked or something, I will replace it. I hope they keep making them.

I had this litter box for almost a year now and thought its time for me to give it a review. First of all, the quality is nice and very sturdy and not made with some cheap plastic material. It is probably the most expensive non-automatic litter box out there but definitely worth the price for me. I tried to save some money in the past and brought other litter box in the 20-80 dollars range and they all have some problems. This one has NONE (except for the hooks which I'll talk about later). It is really the last litter box you'll ever need to buy. My cat is a 15lb Ragdoll and my boyfriend and I have tried about 5-6 litter box/tray. We tried some other XL size top entry litter boxes and they are just NOT BIG ENOUGH. The bottom side is always smaller than the top opening side, and the round or oval shape of those litter box means that they are not as big as they claimed. Litter pans/trays can be big enough, but you will have to deal with the smells and you will have to clean up the litters on the floor. This is really the ONLY litter box that is big enough and minimizes litter tracking on the floor. The Liner: I LOVE the liner design! All I have to do is unhook the liner, pour out the remaining litter, and wash/wipe the liner. The liner is very durable. The manufacture's website says they are good to use for up the 3 months. However, the liner has been on backorder and out of stock fairly frequently so I had to keep reusing it for the past 9 month and IT IS STILL IN GOOD SHAPE. The liner finally has stocks in last week so I purchased it, but I could have continue to use the old one without a problem. The only issue I have is the hook that attaches the liner to the conner of the litter box. It does NOT lock. So when my cat scratches the liner after he poops or pees trying to bury his waste, the hook would come out. I fixed by taping it to the litter box. It did the trick but still would appreciate if there is some sort of locking for the hooks. Again, Love it! Buy it! Especially if you have big cat!

But on days when she’s feeling a bit more “traditional,” I can easily switch to the front entry. The options are super convenient. Large Size: The XL version is great for my larger cat. There's plenty of room for her to move around comfortably, and she can easily turn around without feeling cramped. It’s perfect for multi-cat households as well. No Litter Tracking: The unique design of the Modkat helps minimize litter tracking. The top-entry lid has a built-in tread that catches litter on her paws as she exits, and it works much better than I expected. There’s far less mess outside the box now. Sleek, Modern Design: This litter box looks great in my home. It’s sleek, minimal, and fits well with my decor, unlike most bulky, plastic-looking litter boxes. I’ve even had guests comment on how stylish it is! Durability and Easy to Clean: The materials feel sturdy and high-quality, and cleaning is a breeze. The lid easily lifts off for quick scooping, and the whole box is easy to wipe down. It’s also large enough that I don’t need to clean it as frequently compared to smaller boxes. Odor Control: I’ve noticed a huge improvement in odor control. The enclosed design helps keep smells contained, and the top-entry setup makes it harder for my curious cats to kick litter out. It’s been a game-changer for reducing unwanted odors in my home. Cons: Price: While I think the Modkat XL is worth the investment, it is on the pricier side compared to standard litter boxes. That said, the quality and features justify the cost. Learning Curve: It took my cat a little while to get used to the top-entry option. If you have a more hesitant or older cat, this might require a bit of training. Luckily, the front-entry option can be used in the meantime, so it’s not a deal-breaker. Final Thoughts: The Modkat XL Litter Box is hands down the best litter box I’ve ever owned. It’s well-designed, functional, and easy to maintain, making it a must-have for cat owners looking to upgrade their setup. My cat loves it, and I love how much less messy my home feels. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a durable, spacious, and modern litter box solution!

結構大きいです。が、お猫様が気に入っているので良いとします。 我が家は横からも上からも入れるようにして使ってますが、お猫様は横からしか入ってくれません。 でも、かなりお気に召したようで、今まで使っていたトイレを使わなくなるほどです。 内袋がセットになってるとは知らずに別途購入してしまいましたが、ある程度で使い捨てにすれば良いと思ってます。 まだ、使い始めたばかりなので耐久性などは分かりかねますが、入口も広くてお猫様としては使いやすそう、と思いました。 あと、掃除も結構しやすいです。 上が開くので上からも取れるし、横の入り口も広いので横からも取れます。 付属のスコップはかなり大きいですが、使ってみると使いやすかったです。

Très bon produit j’avais le modèle carré top entry mais avec l’âge mon chat a du mal avait du mal à monter dessus. Ce modèle est plus spacieux et permet les 2 types d’entrée. Et beaucoup moins de saleté qu’avec une litière classique quand elle en sort.
