The answer is...on occasion. In my experience, it depends upon several factors. How dry it is in your home (ambient humidity), and how fast your dog eats them. You can always soak them in water briefly (but if you're buying the horns with marrow, be forewarned, this will make them more fragrant). And watch your dog to make sure they aren't scarfing it down. The more they chew = the more saliva = less splintering. I would like to add that a dog's intestinal process is much more supportive of eating things like this, and has evolved over thousands of years to eat bones, which are much hard. These horns are collagen. A splintered piece is very unlikely to do harm to a healthy dog.

Not sure. But my dogs ate theses in about 10 minutes..

Can my lab have small size? he’s very petite, not typical big lab. i don’t want to spend too much or get too big unless i know if he likes it yet

I would not give this to a dog over 5 mos with adult teeth. It splintered and broke into pieces. Its hollow in the center.
