Only issue is have is i wish they were bigger but thats my fault. Will order bigger ones from you after seeing how good quality these are. Great vents

I’ve replaced the vent guards on the outside as the old ones were plastic based and were developing breaks allowing wasps and squirrels to enter the ducts.

We used them as replacement for old, brittle, and broken plastic soffit air exhaust vent covers. These new ones are aluminum and had a wire mesh screen built in (which the old ones didn't have). They fit perfectly within the old frame. I found and purchased these covers on line because I could not find a single local hardware store that carried 4 inch square covers. Hired someone to install them because it required a 30 ft. ladder to reach the soffit location but, they are so easy to install the it took the handyman only about 15 min. to complete the job for 3 exhaust vents. It took longer for him to set up the tall ladder! I highly recommend this product!

They are quite a specific product and really need black (or matching at least) screws. Careful with these, they look fine but if you screw them in too hard they bend very easily.

One of my exterior roof/soffit vent covers fell down after a storm. When I went to pick it up and reinstall it, the cover completely disintegrated in my hands (~3 years old). From the pieces left, it measured approximately 4 inches x 4 inches. Based on another review, I decided to purchase this metal cover to replace it since you could not purchase just the vent cover and multiple comments indicating the plastic covers fail after 2 years due to heat/UV. Fit perfect and screwed into the old vent. Stainless steel screws with it would be a nice addition but otherwise it worked great.
