really good but not great
I love Michael's heart and willingness to throw out a lot of info regarding what worked for him and all the jewels from his experience. I do believe everything he shared without question... The little problem with the book for me though, and it's probably just me, has to do with the title, "How to see"... "A guide"... For me, this book really isn't a "how to" or a "guide". It's Michael sharing as much as he possibly can from his experience and journals, a testimony essentially of what worked for him. As such he throws a lot of stuff out there hoping that stuff will stick and help others, and I totally appreciate that. For me though, I already knew almost all of this information, yet I am not experiencing the desired result, in part I think because I feel somewhat overwhelmed by it all and can never seem to get enough of these activities done to get the breakthrough I desire. (The bit that he shared that was new to me is about how he would look into the atmosphere in the natural realm, not focusing on the tree but the space between, etc...)To be a 'how to' or a 'guide', it really needs to be more step-by-step oriented, imho. 'Do this, then when you get to this point, do this...' etc. Maybe I need to re-read it to verify what I am saying... I read through the book in one day and was left with the same overwhelming feeling that I've always had (for over ten years now! ugh...). For me it seems there is simply too much to do to ever get there. This is why I was hoping that it really was a "How to", that could give me some practical steps versus reminding me of the overwhelming amount of things that I have to do, and have to try to remember to do. At least when there is this much to do, maybe a little bit of summarizing could have been helpful... Maybe it's in there and I just didn't catch it... My ten years of feeling stuck in this pursuit has convinced me that I am a particularly hard nut to crack, so take this review with a big grain of salt.I will again say that I love his heart and his willingness to share his general process and experience, and please listen to all the other reviewers and their rave reviews, and I am thankful for them. Since I first heard Ian Clayton speak back in 2003, I have wholeheartedly believed (despite not seeing for myself) that our inheritance, invitation, and mandate even is to be living out of heaven, and I appreciate the effort put forth in this book to help believers grow in this capacity.

Great Book with Instructions
The author not only provide an understanding of seeing into the Spirit Realm, but what he did to See. The author does not claim that his way is the only way. He recognizes God played a major part in him Seeing. One of the things I like about this book is the fact that he provides all the different things he tried and their effects. Most people in books tell you just ask God and it automatically happens like flipping on a light switch. They never tell you if there was more to it than a simple asking and receiving. Michael provides a section of the book with practical steps to help you begin to notice things in the Spirit Realm. Most of the time we never slow down or rest in one area long enough to notice anything out of the ordinary. I have noticed different things after reading the book which I cannot explain. They only last of about one second. You are not sure if you saw anything special or it was a trick of the eyes. The following things I saw that I cannot explain: Wisp of smoke from table to bottom corner of computer monitor; shadows moving across the ceiling of bedroom; split second flashes of light; round shadow moving in six foot arc across the floor; and haze like what comes of the ground on a summer's day (2 days in a row) same spot. I need to make the time to follow his procedures to see how effective they can be. According to the author, you can slowly over time decrease the amount of time it takes to see into the Spirit realm. It is the same with anything we do. The more we practice, the more time we devote to it, and the more passionate and hungry we are the faster we will succeed and the more we will accomplish.

This was a good book. It was very practical and for me ...
This was a good book. It was very practical and for me has been very encouraging. I started seeing the unknown realm 20 years ago. I did not seek it, God just gave it to me and it's was pretty normal until I got relaxed in my walk with God. Once I God regained my full attention my eyes had been damaged and I could not see anything clearly. I could still see enough to know what I was looking at, but not enough to be sure. This book has helped me identify where I went wrong and I have seen the scales he refers to in the book but was never able to understand what they were. In fact, I assumed they were evil and they would scare me back into the natural. I've also encounters the veils and this book has helped me get past all of that. Now I see all day again. There is a review here that in concerned about the amount of scripture reference. I would like to encourage each buyer to not only look for scripture but also look for an inner witness. God recognizes God. For His Spirit will bear witness to your spirit when it comes to the things of God. There are several books jammed pack with scriptures where it has been manipulated to solidify a desired point. You should always look for the balance of scripture and inner witness, especially when dealing with the supernatural. As for me, God's presence and anointing bore witness over and over again to reassure me that this was ok. Also, the author did not take any scriptures and twist them to make his points. He did a solid job of presenting scripture on a very hard subject. This was by far the best of the seer books I have read. I think it should be partnered with James goal's book on the Seer.
