Effective! (with a learning curve)
I bought this last week after reading tons of reviews on epilators and watching what seemed like 100 YouTube videos on how to use them. I bought this primarily to use on my legs and underarms, and while I know that epilators won't give you that silky, "freshly-shaved" feeling, I feel that being hairless for a few weeks at a time is worth the trade off. Anyway, upon first use, I hated this thing. It was painful and it wasn't removing many hairs. I considered returning it. However, I gave it another try, this time following instructions from the packaging (I know, duh, right?) and also some from online reviews. To make this thing work (and it DOES work), be sure to use it right after a bath or shower, BUT YOUR SKIN HAS TO BE DRY AND FREE FROM OILS/LOTIONS/CREAMS. Also, while in the shower, EXFOLIATE. Use a loofah, scrubbie, whatever. It will prep your skin for the epilator. When epilating, hold the machine at a 90 degree angle with your skin. Pulling skin "taut" can help with the pain of it's too painful. Honestly, my legs weren't painful at all. My underarms, however, were. But if I keep consistent with using it (1x per week, I'd say), then it really won't be painful at all because the initial, coarse hairs have already been removed. After epilation, MOISTURIZE!! That's super important. I'd say overall, I'm really happy with this purchase. It works and it's super compact (great for storage and travel). The price was right, too!

This girl is impressed, and silky smooth ;)
As long as your expectations are realistic, it works amazingly well. It hurts like you would expect, it won't get 100% of the hair on the first pass and will need some follow up as hair grows in stages, and is harder to use on parts of the body where the skin is not taut or is curved, and may leave red bumps, but when used according to instructions (90 degree angle, clean, dry skin, rub skin to prep for easier removal) it works on both fine hairs and coarse hairs, definitely gets the roots.Works on legs, underarms and parts of face. Bikini line is doable as long as you stay away from loose skin. Your common sense and fear of excessive pain will tell you that much. It doesn't contain the hairs that are pulled out, so do it in a place you don't mind cleaning up afterward. Easy to use for quick touch ups. Great product, great price.

Kind of worked?
From the get go this device did not hold a charge. It can only be used if it’s plugged into the wall but that wasn’t enough to deter me. The first time I used it, it worked fantastically minus the charging issue. The second time, the plastic guard broke. The third time, I barely got any hair off of my legs despite turning the device up and applying pressure when using it.

Detailed review
This is my first and only epilator so far, so I don't have much to compare it with. I bought this to use mainly on my neck and chin hair that is particularly tenacious. I am not new to hair removal and have tried everything on this area so far. Depilatory creams work, but I get a rash and they smell. Threading hurts A LOT, shaving didn't last longer than a day, and waxing was just getting expensive to do on a weekly basis. I decided to try epilation. I am new to that. For my fellow newbies, epilation isn't like shaving because unlike shaving, epilators pull the hair out of skin rather than cutting the hair at the base. Epilator heads basically have a bunch of tweezers on them, and tweeze the hair out when you run the across the designated area. I was told that you epilate against the grain of the hair and have found that that works on arms and legs. Epilation in either direction seems to work for neck and chin hair that sort of grows in all directions. This epilator is small and easy to handle. Another reviewer said that she/he got a used one by mistake, so I will say that the new box looks metallic purple in color and has the epilator (as you see it on Amazon.com) encased in a plastic case that protrudes from the box. My epilator came with pictorial instructions, a wall plug and cord that connects to the epilator, as well as a two-headed brush to clean out the tweezer head. The head itself can be popped off to clean. When the head pops off, there is a small disc on the underside that can be turned manually so that the tweezers can be individually cleaned with the brush. I know that some epilators are battery operated but this one plugs directly into the wall. The cord is technically long enough to plug into a wall by the sink and then epilate sitting on the floor below, but when I tried that there was a bit of tension in the cord, so if you have a closer outlet, that is helpful. Not a short cord, per sé, but it could be longer. Actually using the epilator was pretty easy. You just hold it at a 90 degree angle to the hair and run it across the area. It has two speeds, medium and fast. I found that it was good to start on medium speed because it was my first time. You don't need to push into the skin but you do need to hold the skin taut. It gets a lot of really long hair but sometimes breaks the hair. I have just been running it over the same area a second time and it's been fine. It seems like this epilator doesn't generally pick at skin and make it bleed, If I run it over areas that have no hair it just buzzes and leaves that area alone. However, I do bleed when I run it over areas that have hair and acne. I have to wait for the acne to dry out/clear up in order to use the epilator. Maybe people who are epilator veterans know this, but I didn't. Oops. The difficult thing with any sort of hair removal is that there will be pain, but I find this to be less painful than threading (by a lot!). Another one of the reviewers suggested using a face wash before chin epilating, and I find that that works for me. It keeps the area clean and dry and makes epilation easier. I also put aloe on right after epilation and have seen only a few red bumps on my skin because of it. They still come, but not many. In general, the epilator seems to work on small areas if you want thorough hair removal. I haven't had much success on large areas like legs, although the epilator has thinned the hair in those areas. Perhaps my lack of success comes from my being a novice. Perhaps a more experienced person knows more tricks. I don't know. It also seems a good idea to have a tweezer handy to catch those few refractory hairs that the epilator just doesn't catch. Good luck, and I hope that this review was helpful. I bought this product through the help of detailed reviews and hope that I could return the favor.

Not very durable
No bad but definitely not durable. It worked well enough for 5 months. I’d have to go over the same area multiple days in a row. Finally it stopped rotating one day. I shook it to see if that would help and heard a rattling sound. I think some piece inside, near the wheel, is loose. So I had to throw it away 🥹 Learning to invest more up front or pay the cost on the backend by replacing it. I’m going to get a higher end epilator to see if it plucks the hair better the first time and hopefully holds up longer than just 5 months

Es buena en la depilación, he comprado anteriormente Philips y Braun y ahora esta. Me gusta más el depilado, tarda más tiempo en salir el bello, lo único es que de repente muerde la piel.

I just used this epilator and I absolutely love it! It's my first time ever using an epilator, so I was nervous to try it since some people say it hurts a lot especially when you've never used one before. But I have to say, not only does it do it's job, the pain was barely there for me. If you're someone who is used to waxing, tweezing, or even threading any sort of hair off your body, then I'd say you'd be just fine using this. This product has two settings - a low and high speed setting, and with my hair quality, I found that the low setting works just fine with my hair (I have dark but fine hair - it does say in the manual that if you have thicker, coarser hair, that you may need to use the higher setting). I used this on my legs and arms, and besides the initial twinge that you feel when you're tweezing your eyebrows, it was nothing to me. I found I had to go over some areas more than once to make sure it caught all the hair, but that wasn't a big deal. I also used this on my under arms, which admittedly was harder to do and slightly more uncomfortable, but again, the pain wasn't very much to even comment on. Only thing to note is that this is not cordless, so no battery. It has to be plugged in to work - I don't know why, but I expected it to be cordless for some reason. It also comes with a little brush so you can clean the hairs off the epilator, and you can detach the head so you can rinse/clean it. For the price, you really can't go wrong with this! EDIT: Since writing this review, I have tried it on my husband (funny I know lol). My husband isn't that hairy, but he does have small patch of hair on his chest in the valley between his pecs, so I tried it on there. As per my hubby, it was slightly painful but not too bad. HOWEVER -- he has extremely sensitive skin and it's been three days and there is a fair amount of redness still there, almost like his pores are inflamed. The day after I used the epilator, he said his chest was very itchy too! So if you know you have sensitive skin or any sort of skin issues like eczema etc, TAKE CAUTION before using this.

I liked the product but I thought it was used on re chargeable batteries, but it runs off the mains electricity . This was not what I wanted so I have returned to the seller.

I recently just purchased this, and it was my first time epilating. And i gotta say this works amazing, yes it is painful if you're new at it and it was painful for me but beauty is pain am i right? This perfectly fits in my hand and it uses a cord so no batteries needed, it works wonders on your armpits and legs but i didnt get a chance to use it on other places... For it being my first epilator as well i think its great! Not too pricey very affordable compared to the amount of razors us girls have to spend on. Its very easy to clean, where u can pop the cap off and use the brush they give u to clean it out. Little tip: prior to getting this device i recommend shaving on the areas u want to epilate because the hairs r more stubbly and easier to grab, if its long it might cut the hair and not pull it out the roots, i would say shave 1-2 days before using it and remeber EXFOLIATE EXFOLIATE, it will prevent ingrown hairs :)
