1950s Fashion: Artists' Colouring Book (Multilingual Edition) Paperback – January 8, 2015

I've fully embraced adult coloring books, particularly fashion and costume, and this is one of my favorites. The illustrations to color are large, printed in heavy paper that allows for watercolor or markers.The designs themselves are beautiful representations of 1950's high fashion. I wish they'd do another one with even more illustrations.

These Designs are fun to color and very typical of the period, with a good selection of day and evening wear. Size of tablet makes working on each design very comfortable and free flowing.Markers do bleed to back of page but not a problem since there is no design on back. Glitter pens also work really well, for accessories like the shoes, bags and scarves. Sheets are too large to use glitter technique on main design unless you don't mind going thru glitter pen ink faster.Gave 4 instead of 5 stars because I prefer markers to colored pencils and the paper texture tends to soak up colored markers, therefore using more ink.

This is an amazing book. class all the way!! The paper is almost card stock. These are sketches yet amazingly well defined for us colorist. This book will be given my serious best coloring efforts. Love it!!!

Simply Wonderful! The paper is high quality and so are the drawings. They are somewhat on the style of a dress designers sketch pad. I can see getting another one!

I liked this better than the 1960.s fashion book. The styles were very elegant and I did enjoy coloring them. The pages are of good quality and much bigger than the standard 8" x 11"

A large book with great fashions, thick paper with tear out pages for framing, etc. My new best fav!

This coloring book had a lot of features I did not care for in a coloring book. The book is much too large, and poorly constructed with the pages coming out whether you want them to or not. The pictures were so large, it used up a great deal of marker ink just on one picture.The illustrations were poorly drawn, the women barely had facial features, their necks were too long, and the figures were not generally very well proportioned. The clothing was quite plain and bland.There are only 16 designs in the book, and therefore, not really worth the money, considering all the other faults of this coloring book.The only two things the book had going for it was the pictures were only on one side of the page, and the paper is quite thick so there is no bleed through problems. Also the paper is textured and therefore I was able to use very dark markers and they would appear lighter on the page.

I loved this colouring book. It took me back to my childhood. Remembering how ladies used to dress then. On the back of the book it gives the year the type of each garment and on some the designer when they were made. I put each one into the internet and was amazed at the information that came up of that era. I used tombow pens and pencils also stabilo felt tips as they all have differing shades. I also completed the art deco fashion one and have just bought the art nouveau and art nouveau fashion one. They are not cheap but you get what you pay forThere 16 large pages with designs on and very good quality paper

Wonderful colouring book, just the way I like it! All pages are printed on one side only, and they can all be removed from the book easily. Great paper quality, even if the un-coated paper absorbes a lot of colour for those who use markers like I do. This book is perfect for those who aren't obsessed with tiny and detailed patterns, since some of the books with very fine lines from Pepin van Roojen can be difficult to colour with markers.Along with van Roojen's book with fashion from the 60ies this is my absolute favourite!

Really enjoyable adult colouring book with a 1950's fashion theme allowing you to create your own combination of fashion colours for the outfits, very therapeutic.

The best type of coloring book I ever head. High quality paper, space for your imagination, basic shapes and lines leading naturally your hand...
