Pair # I've lost count
I have probably bought an average of a pair or more of these (and their predecessors) per year for the last 8 years. Started out with them because I liked the lacing system and found them to be durable, but have since been told by a foot specialist that they're also well suited to my particular feet issues-pretty technical things that I can't remember. Anyway, a sturdy shoe without a ton of cushioning but plenty of support. Takes my orhotics easily (I can't really comment on the stock insole, I cannot remember the last time I used them). Soles hold up well. 8 or 10 pairs and lots of hiking and abuse and only one broken lace. When I replace them it's because my heel wears out the padding at the back (my problem with almost every shoe) and they get a little tired. Great shoe, hope they keep making it or subtle variants forever!

Nice and good quality but painful
They look great and are of great quality but the stitching inside the shoe right at the beginning of the toe on the inside of the foot causes friction and will be a nightmare on any hike regardless of length or intensity. At least that’s my experienceC you may want to try them and figure out if that happens to you, to me the best hiking shoe ever made are both the low and mid of the Salomon X Ultra 3

Still Great Shoes
Long time Xa wearer, replacing 3rd pair of WP version with this model. WP doesn't breathe as well and feet are very warm after multi-hour treks in Summer. Tried these in same size (12) and had to exchange for 12.5. My feet didn't change. Attraction of Xa has always been glove-like fit with rock-ready arches and multi-surface sole (not cleat-like). Upgrading insole should improve fit - otherwise experiencing same support. Single-lace style already looks like it will cut the fabric across the toe more quickly than the Xa WP with its different outer material. Also, outer material is more "porous" so expecting much dirtier shoe that probably can't be brought back for street use when retired. Still, haven't found a better shoe than Salomon but would probably go back to the WP on replacement.

Hated to spend this much but so glad I did!
Needed an every day shoe that gave super support and would last a while. I've had a pair of Solomon's Quest 4D GTX Hiking Boots for a couple fo years now for heavier hiking and they hardly show any wear at all. They are so far, may favorite boot ever. These Pro 3D trail shoes were for my daily wear and honestly I couldn't be happier. Comfortble, weather resistant for me (living in the PNW, I don't even think twice about these shoes), and are wearing minimally over time (about 4 months now). Happy to slide my feet into these every day and with their anticipated longevity, looks like the price is going to work-out over time too. Every day I look at the speed laces and wonder how long they'll last (they're my first). But I don't crank my laces and they still look new. So I'll just stop worrying about that and go out and enjoy these. Glad I got them.

Salomon quality in black!
I've had numerous pairs of these shoes over the years, they are great for hiking and travel in general. This is my first all black pair so I hope they blend into urban and office environments better than the green options. The laces are my favorite part, but the shoes have excellent grip and are very comfortable for all day wear!

Have always loved these shoes but quality seems to be declining
These have been my favorite shoe for a long time. Might be on my 8th pair. But my last two pairs have had quality issues. Last pair had the sole start to come off after maybe 1 year. This pair had the stitching in the tongue come out after maybe 4 months. Not sure if these are a fluke or if they changed something about their manufacturing.

no la envian en la caja original del producto
salomon me encantan y son las mejores pero no me gusta que es la segunda vez que compro el producto no la están enviando en la caja original y eso me genera desconfianza y me desmotiva a seguir comprado calzado por este medio

Best. Shoes. Ever. Will never go back to Nike
I have been wearing Nike shoes for most of my life. But for the last 2 years, quality and comfort has greatly diminished. I walk 8-12 miles per day, and using Nikes, my feet start to ache after the first 3 miles, and accumulate blisters. I tried their casual, running, and training shoes to no avail. They felt comfortable in casual wearing, but any cardio would show their dark side. Then I was recommended Salomon shoes by a colleague of mine. I wore them loosely, gradually tightening over the day to help break them in. The next day, I went for a 5 mile morning walk. The difference was immediate and astounding. No aching feet, no blisters, and it even helped support my knees and back. I'll never use any other shoe brand again, only Salomons!

Top brand, top price and great product
I have had Solomon XA PRO 3D for about 3 years now. They are comfortable, and unlike the speedcross the soles last the test of time. This new version appears to be better than the previous version.... I have high hopes:-)

Not a good fit I’m afraid
These were far too tight and I thought that they would be a better fit.Slightly disappointed as they do look great for a work shoe.

Quite a slim fitting
Seemed well constructed, but too slim at the forefoot for me. ( nice & light)
