Almost perfect!
This is a great belly or chest stand for when your laying down, and works great everywhere else too. I primarily bought it for when I’m laying down and it’s ideal for that. It’s lightweight, sturdy, well balanced, thin, and high quality. The cushion material is soft but grips the fabric on my clothing nicely so it doesn’t feel like it’s going to slip off. It’s not too big and not too small — just right. I have a new iPad Pro and it’s very thin so I did have to modify the stand a bit to really make my tablet feel secure. I used a magnetic mount and I also added a bit of grip tape just above the bottom shelf or lip. After these slight mods my tablet is securely attached and it’s a pleasure to use with this stand. Overall, I’d say this stand is almost perfect out of the package and with a couple easy mods is really a joy to use. Amazon delivered this not in a box but just in its plastic wrapping with a shipping label slapped on. I would have preferred a box, but the stand was fine and not damaged in shipping.

Still happy after 2.5 years of use with a couple of modifications.
I have had this iPad pillow for 2.5 years, and I'm still very happy with it; however, I ended up making two modifications to make it work better. Positives: • lasts a very long time (2.5 years and still going strong with daily use!) • very comfortable; molds well to my lap or any other surface. • remains surprisingly clean (dust it as needed; the back fabric hides dust in the foam behind it) • the foam does NOT collapse after use (still like new after all this time) • there is still nothing to compare on the market, making this one remain the best choice Negatives: • cannot charge iPad easily (must turn it sideways or upside-down OR cram the charger port at the bottom) • the iPad does NOT stay put - falls off easily (even with its grip strips) • the bottom hinge comes apart too easily (wish it was full circle or metal) • too bulky to take "on the go" as it suggests; best to use in one general location (such as different rooms in a house) Modifications (I'll try to add pictures later): (1) CUT BOTTOM TO FIT CHARGING CABLE. The first thing I did was use a dremel tool to cut away the middle of the bottom lip which holds the iPad. This allows me to charge the iPad wile still in portrait position without having to turn it upside down or without having the cord smushed up against the lip. Honestly, I'm surprised the manufacturer didn't make this modification themselves after all this time. It's such an obvious improvement and does not compromise any of the other features. (2) VELCRO TO HOLD IPAD FROM FALLING: The second thing I did was add velcro to hold the iPad so it would stop falling off. I put my iPad in a case and then put a large rectangle of the "soft" side of the velcro on the middle of that case. The large rectangle ensures that the velcro will work in landscape and portrait positions. Then I put two small pieces of velcro on the iPad Pillow. These velcro pieces are the hook side of the velcro and are about 1/2"x1" in size. I put these on the center, moveable part of the pillow. That part has two sections: the top with the Prop 'n Go logo and the bottom which is plain. I put the velcro pieces on the bottom section. They are placed around 1/2" from the top and 3/8" from the edges. The larger the soft velcro on the case, the easier it is to successfully place the hook velcro on the pillow. Overall, even with the needed modifications, this pillow is still the best iPad lap holder on the market. I can use my iPad while sitting in a chair, relaxing on a couch, sitting on a toilet (you know you do it! LOL), and laying in bed in various positions. It's very comfortable and lasts a long time. Although I wish the hinges were more durable, the plastic used seems to hold up well against normal wear and tear with only a few minor scratches visible when you look up close to find them. If this one should need replacing, I will happily buy another one. It's not perfect, but with so many positives, I highly recommend this Prop 'n Go iPad pillow and give it 5 stars.

Perfect for my Surface Pro 11!
This is exactly what I was looking for to use with my Surface Pro 11! I needed something that would comfortably prop up my Surface and support writing/drawing on it in vertical mode and all of the vertical/portrait options I saw weren't really usable. This item is perfect, the lowest setting is just about what I was expecting and wanting for most note-taking/similar use, and so far I have found myself playing with the angles depending on what I am doing and how I position myself. This device is great for use on your lap whether on the couch or in a car, or on a table surface. The grip strips are surprisingly strong! I didn't have to worry about my Surface falling off the stand while bumping around in the car because they do their job very very well. It also folds easily and fits absolutely perfectly in the little backpack I recently bought to carry my Surface around in. I will say the price point is higher than I was hoping for, but it seems well worth it to me now!

Very good product
I bought this because I like to read books and browse websites on my iPad, and, after a while, it starts to feel really heavy. This product allows me to read in a variety of different positions (on the couch, propped up or lying down in bed, at a table) and tilts to adjust to the right angle for viewing. It's lightweight and easy to move around, and the memory foam pad on the bottom is comfortable when resting on you. It's less bulky than a lot of competing products, and you can set the iPad on in in either portrait or landscape mode. I do think there is some room for improvement, as the iPad really isn't "secured" into the holder in any way, and if you tip sideways, it can slide out. I also find that the plastic piece you use to prop up the iPad detaches occasionally, but it hasn't actually broken yet and I've had no problem snapping it back into place. I also occasionally wish that I could cause the iPad to stand straight up, but the piece that props it up doesn't allow for that.

-10 YEAR UPDATE- Works Well Enough that I bought 2
* 10 Year Update! I just stumbled upon my review from over 10 years ago on the Prop n Go slim… I’m still using the same one to write this update. I literally use it every night while reading in conjunction with a small and “flattish” throw pillow. I don’t know if it’s because this is a great product or I am just cheap! I changed the rating from a 4 to a 5 based on longevity alone. If you drop it from your nightstand to the floor with your iPad in it like I do once a month, the adjustable tray will pop out but hasn’t broken yet. The sad news is it was $35 back then and one of the higher priced versions available at the time so there’s your inflation.* I ordered one of these for my wife to use with her Kindle Fire HD and it works very well for that after trying to pick a style/type of reader holder out of the hundreds of kinds on the market. I tried it with my iPad2 which is in a full case and it works well too. If you keep the adjustable tray in the flat position and flip it backwords it also works great for a lap stand for a full size laptop PC. The back of the lap top snugs against the rail and keeps the "hot" lap top off your lap! I bought another for myself and I give it 4 stars because it works well and is versatile, but it is on the high end of the price list. It's a pretty simple design and made of plastic and the adjustable tray isn't real beefy, but should be reliable (time will tell). The memory foam underside, while not real thinck gives it enough "cush" to rest on lap, knees, etc. We both use small throw pillows on the underside for lap (couch, chair) reading and when laying in bed. This can make it a little tippy, but puts everything at the best height for reduced neck/eye strain.

Very happy with this product ~ A lot of thought went into its design
I purchased this because of the high reviews on Amazon, and I'm happy to report that it works exactly as advertised. Up until now, I've been resting the iPad on my lap in order to read Kindle books, but due to arthritis it was becoming more and more difficult to advance the pages with the iPad in this position. Now that I have the Prop 'n Go Slim, advancing the pages, writing emails, or surfing the web is a whole lot easier. The Prop 'n Go Slim feels very comfortable resting on my legs, and it enables me to use the iPad effortlessly. I no longer have the pain in my hands and fingers that I had prior to using this product. Although on the expensive side, it's very well made, extremely versatile and designed to last. Regardless of whether you're using this in a regular chair, a recliner, on the floor, in bed, etc., due to its ability to be adjusted to several different angles, it works perfectly in all positions. This is definitely a 5 star innovation and product.

It's not really prime but,
I really love this stand. Although it took more than 2 days to ship, this stand is great. I had previously bought a stand for my 10 inch tablet from television. It was so awful I sent it back. This stand is great because it's super stable and lightweight. The multiple positions make it so usable. It doesn't matter where I am - bed, couch, chair, car - it holds my tablet. There are rubberized strips on the base that keep my tablet in place. The memory foam is comfortable and helps stabilize the stand on any surface I've used so far Update: the rubberized strips that prevent the tablet from sliding off the stand have stopped working since I bought the stand (it's now mid-April), so I have to be extra cautious about how I move so the tablet doesn't crash to the ground.

REALLY HELPED WHEN USING MY TABLET ON THE GO & AT HOME
This has been a game changer! I bought this device about three years ago, and while searching for another phone product, the "Prop and Go" caught my eye again. It reminded me just how essential this tool is in my daily life. **Pros:** ✅ Its versatility is unmatched. Whether you’re using it with a phone or tablet, it adapts to your needs. Just a heads-up: when calling an automated system—like your credit card company—if your phone is vertical and resting on the lip, it might distort your voice. So, remember to hold your phone while talking or turn it sideways! ✅ You can adjust your device to any angle, making it perfect for different lighting situations. ✅ And the best part? It’s virtually indestructible! Seriously! This device is made of durable plastic. Just snap the middle piece on, find your ideal angle, and you’re good to go! As someone who enjoys reading manhuas late into the night, I've had a few falls with off the bed and couch! Sometimes the middle piece pops off, but don’t worry—you can easily snap it back on. My Tablet has survived all this time too, thankfully😁 **Cons:** Now, let's address the only limitation: when I try to read with the "Prop and Go" on my lap, it’s not quite thick or tall enough. While tutoring students in the library, the table height is perfect, but at home, you may encounter a bit of "tech neck." Given the advancements in products over the past three years, there may be be better advancements to what I'm going to tell you now... 🟠 To stop my "tech neck" I need to raise the "Prop n Go" up. I tried a pillow but it was too soft and a book was too firm. Them I found a product called a I invested in a "TABLET pillow"-U SERIES BY SAIJI. ✅ THE PILLOW COMES WITH A TABLET OR PHONE HOLDER ATTACHED ALREADY. 🟠 MINE DID NOT 3 YEARS AGO. Just a word of caution: if you combine the "Prop and Go" with a pillow while sitting on soft surfaces like a bed or couch, make sure to secure everything before standing up, or you might experience a “Jenga” moment! Trust me; I’ve had my fair share! Lastly, remember that holding tablets for long periods can be tiring. I use a strap for short reading sessions, but for extended periods of browsing, reading, streaming, and studying, this is truly a fantastic investment!
