Great deal if you want to prepay your first year of service on a T-mobile MVNO
I bought this direct from Ultra after Ptel went out of business. This is a really good deal for unlimited talk/text with 1gb data, using Tmobile network; prepaid for 1 year it is less than $20 a month for a new customer. After the one year, I think you have to pay the $29 a month after that. Activation was super-easy over the internet; porting my old number took about 2 minutes, and then everything was good to go. Comes with paper instructions on setting up APN and MMS settings. I don't do any international calling, but if I did, I would be ecstatic over this provider, unlimited to so many countries. On the Web you can track your international calls (some countries are not unlimited but you get 1000 free minutes, plus you get $2.50 credit for countries not covered by the free minutes), buy more data. Obviously don't do this if you need to try out the T-Mobile network first; but I have used it both directly and through other providers.
