I had a great experience with TarDisk even though my computer was not compatible with it and I could not use the TarDisk due to a program on my MacBook being installed incorrectly which was my fault. Their Tech Department was very, very helpful at all times and I probably called them 10 or 12 times. They always responded in a prompt manner and worked hard to resolve my issues so I would highly recommend their company for anyone who is having difficulty with disk space as I was. I was very much pleased with their support and work on my behalf.

Has never worked fully as promised
I have been using this since the end of June. There is always a problem if I let the MBP go to sleep or close the lid on it. I have to shut down once I am done with it. Otherwise, a crash occurs, or a screen where nothing responds, or just a black screen. The only way around it is to force it off and turn back on. Tardisk support is responsive and has had many suggestions; none of those worked. I started with macOS Sierra and I am currently using High Sierra. The drive has been formatted and linked several times. I have done clean os installs and added back my apps and docs. I may try to use it as a second drive instead of pearing it with the existing drive.

Extra Space, but at a price...
And I'm not talking about the money. This card added much-needed space to my 2013 Macbook Pro. It integrates with the existing SSD seamlessly.Well, unless you want to upgrade your OS. I am stuck on High Sierra. My first attempt to upgrade to Mojave required a complete restore from Time Capsule. Since then, any updates I have attempted for High Sierra have simply failed. So tl;dr: It's great extra space for your old machine, but it will cause problems with Apple's attempts to update your system in any way, shape or form. Caveat Emptor!

DO NOT BUY! Nightmare experience
If you see any good reviews they are from 2016 this product no longer works on the new operating system. This does not work for Mac at all and it is not Plug N Play. They do not tell you until you buy it but you have to wipe your entire Mac if you are running on High Sierra or later (which is most everyone). Then once installed Since installing it causes it to crash 6-12 times a day, losing work or data vital to my freelance job. They stopped answering my support emails and denied responding to my BBB complaint. The just disappeared and I wasted $400 plus hours and hours of time and I was stuck with this thing in my computer that was crashing it constantly and losing my freelance work which is how I support myself. This has been a nightmare situation.I got Apple Care to help me get it out and it broke my HD so I had to take it in to get it fixed.Anyone have any suggestions on how to be compensated for my money this company has become a total scam.Worst experience I have ever had with any company. They must be going out of business or else they are criminal. It's criminal either way. Please DO NOT BUY.

amazing product. NOT for the users that like to keep removing the SD card tho. If you NEVER use your SD card slot and need more memory, this is the way to go. I have a 1 TB drive in my macbook retina and this added 256 on top of that. It really helped me feel more comfortable with transfering from my old macbook pro 15 to the retina with ease

Prevented my upgrade to Catalina
I had to uninstall this device when I upgraded to Catalina. Something about a "fused" drive wouldn't allow me to upgrade the operating system.I ultimately had to uninstall the Tardisk and I haven't re-installed it.Instead I went online and bought a used 1T SSD for my MacBook Pro.Be careful with these third party products. They may have unforeseeable conflicts with future Apple upgrades.

Made the mistake buying a mac with a smaller hard drive. I've always upgraded my macs before and I was under the impression I still could. Boy, was I wrong! Thank god I purchased the last mac model with a card slot, this drive, though expensive, saved my costly mistake from becoming a fiasco.
