Colombia Map (National Geographic Adventure Map, 3405)

You know how travel maps kind of fall apart after about a week of use? Always at the fold and usually deleting a town or site you wanted to visit as it was on the fold line? This map doesn't do that. The paper is high quality and water resistant. It held up for two months of travel in Colombia including about a month of daily use during car travel. Covers the entire country with good detail. One drawback is no detailed maps of the larger cities. I received lots of compliments from the locals who asked where I got the map. Recommended.

Clear and waterproof nice material

It's a great map. Just be aware that when you unfold the entire map, the northern part of the country is on one side and the southern side is on the other, so you can't put it up on the wall and see the entire country at once. The finer scale allows for an excellent level of detail. Good quality, heavy -gauge paper.

The 1:1,525,000 scale map is really only for understanding the general layout of the country, or planning trips on a macro level. Of course it's not possible to get a more detailed map of a large country in a reasonable size. The map is waterproof and appears strong. You may need a magnifier to read some of the smaller print.

It's a map like the old days ... flat, paper (waterproof), colorized, with names of places and features. Will be really useful for our trip to remote areas for bird watching. No batteries or cable or wifi required!!
