EasyCare 20064 Scaletec Plus Descaler and Stain Remover, 64 oz. Bottle

My result using this product to remove calcium was very positive. I have a fiberglass in-ground in pool which is approaching 40 years in age and I perform all maintenance and repairs myself. Approximately every eight years I empty and paint the fiberglass shell to renew the appearance. During the intervening years I invariably experience a significant calcium buildup.This is the only product I have found which will remove my calcium buildup. I have tried a litany of other commercial cleaners including those focusing on lime/calcium/rust as well as many recommended home remedies such as white vinegar. None were successful but this product worked the visit time. Be away that some but not an extreme amount of scrubbing is required.

Been using this for several years and it does what it says. Nothings gets rid of all the scale but it does keep heavy buildup away and the tiles stay nice looking. Disappointed with my last delivery as the bottle was leaking when it arrived. The foil seal is just weak and doesn't survive shipping well (box was in good shape so it wasn't manhandled or beat up in shipping). Must be a common issue as the bottle was in a plastic bag so you can pour out spilled contents and not lose that. Smart but not ideal and messy.....

I have used this for 2 years. It simply does the job of getting rid of calcium scale in my plaster pool. When my pool was first put in service, the scale came fast. I tried scrubbing with a pumice stone and various chemicals that were cheaper than this product. I finally decided to give it a try and I have never looked back.This product simply works. I am now to the point of using a small amount, maintenence dose. I try to do it monthly but if I forget, it's no problem. This product is worth the money. So far, I've been able to catch price drops and saved a few bucks.

My pool "had" some pretty bad calcium deposits. This product was recommended to me to try that it would solve all my issues. Not even remotely close! It barely touched what I had going on. I ended up having to drain my entire pool and acid wash the entire thing times 2 in order for me to get the surface back to new looking. And I was quoted any where from 1800+ to 3500+ for a company to acid wash my pool. It cost me not even $200.00 dollars for me to do it myself in chemicals, respirator, rubber boots, heavy brush & pole and a watering can.

We did a treatment of a different brand of descaler for ring around the pool and it worked but the deposits came back on the bottom around the filter returns. This did reduce some of it without the need to scrub, but not all of it. We have very hard water, so it's not an easy task. For the price, I'd have hoped for a little more. It doesn't clearly say on the bottle that it will spike phosphate levels, but ours have been reading high for months since the treatment even though the pool water is crystal clear.

This stuff is the best. We live in Central Texas, have a well and our water is extremely hard. Our pool had crystalized and this was recommended by a pool builder. It worked like magic. We use it routinely ever month to keep the scale away! Expensive but it gets the job done and keeps the scale away. Glad to find such a great product!
