Perfect fit, works perfectly and I like how it looks.
This accessory lid fit perfectly on my Slim Jim trash can. I appreciate the style and placement that my can fits in my kitchen. It's tough and will work well for you although I think the flapping opening could jam in a public situation. I needed a large can for a small kitchen and this lid compliments the can it fits. I highly recommend this lid if you want to complete the ultimate combination of can and lid.Update:11/03/17This lid has proven to be everything I needed. Easy to clean, it functions as described and I am very satisfied with its construction. I only noticed jamming when the can is full. Well common sense tells you then to change the bag. I appreciate the usefulness it provides and I do recommend this product.

Trash can lid
Pros: the lid fit very well on my slim Jim trash can! When I first got it and unboxed it the left side kept staying open & wouldn’t shut on its own! After that the rods kept falling out BUT you are able to snap the rods back into place and it functions how it should after that! 10/10!

Nice add on for Slim Jim
Bought the Slim Jim trash can for our new office. Decided I wanted the lid for it.It is very sturdy. But it does get stuck in the open position occasionally. It is a decent add on to go with the appropriate base. I kinda wish it was the same material as the Rubbermaid trash can. Unsteady it is hard plastic. It is a bit pricey. Together you are looking between $60 and $70 for the can and lid. (When I bought them.)

Great lids with a little modification...
I was looking for two new garbage cans. The ones I had were mismatched sizes and needed lids. I looked for quite some time and decided on the Rubbermaid Slim Jim 16 gallon. I loved the size, handles and the fact that they were still slim. Two of them fit perfectly side by side in the space I have for my garbage and recycle cans. The cans themselves are very expensive on Amazon. I found them after looking all over online at the big box store HD for $23- or about half the price on here. So I went out and purchased two. The lids I could not find locally and ordered these two. I feel these fit nicely with a little wiggle room. One lid worked perfectly the other had the metal bar in a weird spot and had to be taken out and reinstalled like the one that worked great out of the box. No big deal. With the two lids my cat stays out of the garbage cans. Modification: Upon closing the lids can be somewhat noisy. To fix this I put very small strips of sticky back velcro on the tabs on each side of the lids. That did the trick! They close much more quietly now and look great in my space and are easy to carry outside to empty with the handles. I would purchase these again because the lids along with the cans will last many years.

Loose weight bars.
This top piece to the Rubbermaid waste basket arrived with the weight bars that keep the flaps closed, not secured in their proper place. Who ever assembled it at the factory did not do their job. I am mechanically inclined, so I took a chance and removed both flaps and properly inserted the weight bars and secured them with tape so they could not come loose. This was not an easy thing to do because you have to bend the plastic side pieces out of the way to remove the flaps and I was worried I might break them. Fortunately I was able to fix it, but at that price I shouldn't have to do so. Bad manufacturing Rubbermaid!!!
