Clear instructions + actual durable materials= great off-road addition.
Update; only a month later but this has been on when I went through 4 drive thru car washes (touchless 1×/wk), used on 3 day trips & had it deployed for 1 full weekend. It was open for some light rain, decently steady wind with some stronger gusts & lots of sun. I LOVE THIS AWNING! Added pics in use....Original review: 5 minutes of opening it all up and thinking, 1 aha moment & 30 minutes to install. I was able to secure to my Reese rack with the (provided) ARB awning nuts & bolts along with the (sold separately) ARB brackets without having to drill. No wiggles, no jiggles & no extra noise that I've noticed. Very securely fitted.I will update my review once I've used it for a few months, but upon installation, deployment & tear down, everything went very smoothly.Clear instructions + actual durable materials= great off-road addition.

Well-constructed and good value
Very well-constructed and practical. The awning material is sufficiently heavy to provide adequate shading and durability. All components are top rate. Easy to install and setup. I mounted this to the rear of the roofrack on my campershell on my 2008 Toyota Tacoma. It is almost exactly the same width as the vehicle and extends nicely over the tailgate and about six feet beyond, making a very fine shaded camp kitchen and sitting area. It is too narrow to provide much rain protection (unless the rain is falling straight down and there is no wind, which is usually not the case), but that is not its intended purpose. If you want rain protection, you'll still need a tent. I expect this will provide me many years of use. I am very pleased, and the price was very reasonable considering the quality. Five stars.

Six star product.
This is my second awning from this company. I first ordered the 6.5' and was amazed with how well thought out this product is. It looks like it's hand made with care and pride! The 4' , 6.5' , 8' awning extend out about seven ft. with adjustable legs that fold out of the frame. No parts to lose. You can adjust the height back to front ,side to side. So the rain run off is controlled to where is best suits you. When the hot sun is the problem, you can block the rays with little adjustments with the poles. I have one on the back of my truck, 4' type and the 6.5' on the back driver side. I'm going to order the 8' awning for the passenger side. For the price you will be very happy with how well built this product is. Installing this products can be tricky if your not handy. So you might want to get the bracket kit also. It comes with six SS bolts that slide in to the back frame and when tight its a great hold. You will need something to bolt to. I used a strut 90 with one hole EMT pipe strap and some 1/4 20 hardware. Good to go. :-) :-) :-) good luck to all!

Quality
I have both a cheap china model that's at least a couple feet longer, and this one. It's definitely better built and better and stronger materials. Because of this I thought there was one part that it's quality made it easier to set-up. The only couple of cons I can think of is the price and that it's even heavier than my 6ft china model.

Fits a smaller rack on extended cab Colorado perfect.
Was having trouble finding an awning that wasn’t that wide only being 4ft wide. Most are 6 and 8ft. This worked perfect with Chevy Colorado extended cab with a victory 4x4 roof rack. Doesn’t every truck need a little sideporch? I may combine with bigger awning on top of my camper top rack. But I’m happy with this right now. ARB is quality stuff. I’ve rarely ever seen this set up that’s not on a crew cab.

Excellent Purchase
I have used this for almost a year now, the durability has been unbelievable. I use mine on the beach so the wind, sand, rain storms, hasn’t stopped the performance, no rips tears no pooling doesn’t move in the wind maintains stability not like the other people I see having to chase their popups or have 8 people help hold there’s down and set up. Setup and take down can be done by one person very easily. I keep it on the Jeep outdoors year round and have had no holes, no rips, no tears even the outer bag is still in excellent condition only faded from the sun. This product is very well made. Durability is top of the line. Doesn’t even budge in the ocean wind also highly up protectant not like the fake umbrellas that claim they are. This definitely provides the coverage you need from sun. I cannot say enough of how much we love this awning. I only wish I’d bought the larger one.

Exceptionally Poor Quality from a Premium Name - ARB
The unit was purchased over a lessor known brand mainly on the assumption of better quality. Unfortunately that was a grave error. The units case, which is stitched together, was not properly manufactured. The case had the indication of sewing needle punctures however there was no thread through the holes. How could such a lapse in quality pass the manufacturing inspection. This item will surely be returned.

Well made compact awning
I have always been a big fan of ARB products and this little awning does not disappoint. It’s the perfect size for the back of my Gladiator and you can comfortably fit two large chairs and a small table under it. Looking forward to many years of use.As fast as setup goes, it’s pretty easy for two and definitely possible for one but not as easy. The poles are all twist lock at the length you want but you only need to twist the bottom of the poles, not the top.
