Everything fit great. The only reason I deducted a star was because the retention pin spring did not have the locking head connected to it. Because of this I chose to reuse that spring from the existing hardware for ease of installation. I cannot recommend a drum break tool kit enough for this job. It cut my time by half or more amd made a drum break job as quick and painless as possible. Overall this was a great set of springs and I'm glad I got it even though my old ones were reusable just for the added piece of mind. Update: I have had these on for over a year and have had no issues. They have been excellent and for a short period of time the front breaks on my truck were not working and these were having to do %80-%100 of the stopping and we're able to do the job. Im very happy with them and recommend the Wagner quick stop ceramic shoes and Dorman wheel cylinders to go with these.

Perfect for the drums on my 70 F100’s 9 inch rear. Super happy to get new self adjusters in this kit, especially given that the self adjusters, ordered separately, would have been as expensive as this entire kit. I noticed some bad reviews from those with 1997 F150’s, and here’s why: Ford produced TWO different F150’s for the 97 model year. One looks just like the 96 and older trucks (the 9th generation, dubbed “old body style”, or OBS), and the other looks just like the 98 and newer trucks (10th generation). Both are 1997 (they are NOT 1997 and 1997 1/2) as they were both produced at the same time. This kit WILL fit the 1997 OBS trucks, which are more square looking, but not the newer, more rounded looking 1997 trucks. If you have the more rounded looking truck, search for 1998 instead of 1997 to make sure you get the right parts. If you have an OBS, double check your parts by seeing if they fit 1996. If you aren’t sure which you have, Google F150 generations and see which your truck looks like. Hope this helps someone.
