Young Elizabeth Hardcover – November 16, 2015

I have been listening to the book on MP3 medium. I really like MP3 in my car because I can listen for a very long time with no need to change out disks. The quality and ease of using this disk is excellent and the text of the book is informative, albeit much of what I am hearing is material I have seen or read elsewhere--I am very widely read when it comes to the vast amount of information available about the Queen. If I were writing a review of the print version of this book, I would be giving it at least 4 stars and maybe 5. This MP3 version gets the downgrade because of the reader--the book is being read by the author herself and she is, frankly, not very good at it. Whereas her talents as a writer are fine, one cannot say she actually has talent as a book reading performer. She is sometimes difficult to understand and she uses a pretty consistent monotone to move along. I would really enjoy listening to this book from one of the many excellent reader-performers that I have heard on other books. The reader is not a deal breaker for me, but pretty close.

I love it...just wish it included some kind of a chart of the Royal family. That would be so helpful.

I enjoyed reading YOUNG ELIZABETH. Interesting, though no surprises. I'd recommend the book to anyone who enjoys reading about the British royals.

soft cover book in new condition;but all information was for a hardcover book. I believe I ordered a hardback not softcover.

Good insight into Elizabeth's upbringing.

Interesting look not seen on a regular basis. The Queen has a personality after all!! I found it to be quite an eye-opener not thought of before now. I enjoyed it very much.

This is a must-read account of the British Royal Family. I learned so many things I never knew about the history of the royals. This is a can't-put-it -down read!
