Comes with both a rotation probe that's built into the thermometer which acts as the on/off switch, and an additional wire probe that can be plugged in for using when grilling.Comes ready to go with battery already inserted.Battery cap is easy to open with a small coin.It also comes with a soft case that it can be kept in.It has an instruction manual in several languages including English.There's an invisible magnet on the back so it's easy to stick it onto magnetic surfaces, e.g. fridge.The LCD screen is very large and the characters are easy to read.There's a backlight which you can activate by pressing the "light" button.It has a hold function, this is very useful when you can't see the screen when used at awkward angles.There's a button to swap between degrees F and C.It remembers which setting was last used, (F or C).There's a hole at the bottom to use for hanging it on a hook.It sits comfortably in the hand.Its extremely fast at sensing the temperature and giving a reading.Its resolution is 0.1 degree C. That means it can give a reading of say, 21.6 instead of 22 which is less precise.Its accuracy is +/- 1 degree C in the range -20 C to 150 C.Working temperature range is -50 C to 300 C.Auto off after 10 mins of inactivity if the measured temperature is below 50 C and the change in temperature is around 1 degree C.It has a high temperature Alarm which you can set.I really like this thermometer and it's the best of my digital thermometer purchases so far.I highly recommend you to buy this thermometer and please read the instruction manual before holding down the Cal (calibration) button.It can be re-calibrated.

Only just unboxed, so not used in anger yet. Nice that it comes with a storage pouch and a spare battery. The casing seems to be of good quality.Done a couple of test measurement, Ice in water and boiling water all within 0.5 - 0.8 C of their respective values.Placed the external probe into the freezer to read air temp, this drop over 5 mins to within a few degrees of the reading I had of -21C.Seems to adjust up to hotter temps faster than down to cold. As I will be using it for cooking this is not a problem.The external probe might be fractionally slower to adjust than the attached.A lifetime warranty is a nice touch too.Overall very happy with the purchase and look forward to using it.It's now 2 weeks later and having used it multiple times I very happy with the results. Whether that be checking the temp of reheated food from the microwave or stuff cooking in the grill. Great product.

I've never had one of this before, so I am by no means a meat thermometer expert but I'm very pleased with it, it's very well thought out. The extension is ideal for roasts and the cable is long enough. I like the alarm feature; when the desired temperature is reached, it's loud enough to hear three rooms away. The temperature guide is printed on the unit - super handy. The only thing that it could improve on is a stronger magnet but other than that, it's definitely a 5 star product at this price point.

This needed recalibration out of the box but has been accurate (and quick reading) since. Tested so far on roast beef, sausages and roast chicken and all were confidently served at perfect temperature. I don’t think you can get a better meat thermometer for the money and it now lives happily on my fridge door waiting for it’s next check!

Just the perfect gadget, accurate , simple to use, you can set an alarm when it reaches whichever temp you select, long wire probe when cooking joints and its even magnetic and will stick to the oven so you don't have to worry about it, love it so much purchased another for my cousin, totally recommended

Very accurate. Easy to calibrate and set up. Very useful as wired probe can be used inside oven and fixed probe can be used at other times. Neat keep clean carry bag.

This product is amazing! I've always wanted one of these for cooking, especially when doing BBQs. The temperature reading is almost instant and the safety features are a bonus to ensure it does not cause harm to anyone using them. The added cable is a very nice feature. Overall, a really great product and very easy to use!

Arrived quickly and looks to great. I'm yet to use it properly but it came well packaged with a nice pouch to keep it in whilst it's not being used. It's very intuitive super simple to use. The backlight is good and bright. I'd have no hesitation recommending it to others.
