Will this work with DC power?

Yes it does work with DC and the rating is noted on the label inside the switch cover.

Is this what we would use to "replace the check valve"? Our water is getting sucked back into well & electricity bill is outrageous.

No. This is. The device that cuts the pump off and on. The check valve looks like a piece of pipe and is installed close to the pump.

Will this switch work off 12 volts DC? If so, what is the amp rating and wiring scheme?

the pressure switch will work with 12 to 32 volt DC current up to a 1/4 HP motor. the wiring is the same for this type of installation too. We can not provide more electrical details due to liability.

Is this a direct replacement for a type: sk2 sta-rite switch?

Sorry, I am not totally familiar with sk2 sta-rite type switch. This a standard 40-60 press switch.
